"Reports that cronobacter sakazakii (said to have caused several baby illnesses and deaths) may have been linked to Abbott products sparked the recent FDA investigation.

An inspection, conducted in the period between January 31 and March 18, 2022, confirmed samples of cronobacter "in medium and high care areas of powdered infant formula production."

In a statement published on May 11, 2022, Abbott said that "after a thorough review of all available data" there was no link between its formulas and the illnesses.

However, in an op-ed with The Washington Post, Abbott Nutrition CEO acknowledged an FDA investigation "did discover a bacteria in our plant that we will not tolerate."

The company said the cronobacter sakazakii was found in environmental testing during the investigation, but was in "non-product contact areas of the facility and has not been linked to any known infant illness."

A statement on the FDA's website on May 16, 2022, says Abbott Nutrition closed its plant voluntarily and initiated a voluntary recall of some of its products after concerns were raised earlier this year.

The FDA stated: "While the agency's inspection was ongoing, Abbott Nutrition voluntarily recalled certain powdered infant formula products and voluntarily shut down its facility to implement corrective actions that address issues raised by the FDA."

Subsequently, Abbott entered into a "consent decree" with the FDA on a series of steps necessary to reopen the plant.

The regulator said Abbott had agreed to take corrective actions following an inspection of its facilities, which would "ultimately result in an increase of infant formula products, while ensuring that the company undertakes certain actions that would ensure safe powdered infant formula is produced at the facility.""

And who in the world wants unsafe baby formula? This is not where people want to take chances.

All of which has nothing to do with the fact that Abbot executives warned Biden that a complete shutdown of their production facility would lead to a baby formula shortage and Biden ignored them.

And what "means" needs justified? Trump policies led to Cheap gas, low inflation, full employment, record low unemployment for blacks,a secure border, returning manufacturing jobs a booming economy, Putin afraid to invade Ukraine. I realize that's a tough pill for democrats to swallow but it's fact.

Nice thread hijack job. No big surprise. Donald lied, it hurt the country, it's embarrassing, politically detrimental for the right, for DT followers.

No surprise, the attempt to make the thread about something else.

There is no defending a lie when one is so blatant as this.

The really sad thing is so many Americans fell for it.

We're all just waiting for them to figure out they got conned.

It would be nice if everyone was dealing with the actual facts of what is going on in this country. That's the best way for us to guide our government.

Democrats kept Republican observers too far away to observe. The election will always be tarnished on that fact alone.

Cheating and lawbreaking are not the way to run the country or select a president. None of that other stuff has anything to do with The Big Lie.

If Trump had pulled off his attempt to steal the election, it would have been a coup and the most dangerous Constitutional crisis in the history of America.

And the danger has not passed.

Trump needs to be in prison. The deniers he is advocating for office need to be held accountable if they subvert future elections.

No it won't. It was small potatoes. The election results are valid. The only people trying to cheat were the Republicans.

The only reason the big lie has any traction is because Trump took a lesson from Hitler's Minister of Propaganda. He just keeps telling it, and his followers do not question him no matter how outrageous a lie he tells. It's like a cult.

Cheating is exactly what democrats did and that started this mess. Trump didn't want to let a fraudulent election stand but Pence decided he didn't have the constitutional authority to do anything about it. Unfortunately he was correct and Biden got into the Whitehouse and immediately started ,as Obama famously said, "fucking things up".

There is no proof that the election was fraudulent.
DT knows he lost but continues to repeat a lie claiming the election was not valid. It was a valid election.

The only reason anybody believes this lie is because they keep hearing it so often and they never bothered to verify it. It's something some people simply want to believe. And besides, if they have previously said they believe the lie, and they change their mind, they have to admit they were wrong. That is something a lot of people struggle with, and are unable to do.

The lie goes on. It will only die slowly just like Bush's lie about the WMD's. There was no point when the Republican party apologized for that lie, or officially admitted the truth. It just died slowly and those left believing in the WMD's had to figure it out on their own that they had been had. It went into the great dust heap of history, right there with 'Freedom Fries.'

That's the way it will be with this election fraud lie. People will cling to it until it is no longer useful to them.

The rest of us are just waiting for them to figure out what we already know. No way we can tell them the truth. They don't want to hear the truth.
