People also forget Ted Kennedy made it hard for Carter to win, because Kennedy actually was one of the only people in history who has challenged an incumbent president in his own party. This greatly weakened Carter's chances and contributed to his loss.

Kennedy did some good things, but that was a bad one.

What in the world did President Biden do to cause the baby formula shortage?

Isn't that really just another part of the pandemic shortages?

This whole claim that this is somehow President Biden's fault, that it would not have happened if Trump had won the 2020 election, is patently absurd.

It really exemplifies the absurdity of the nonsense the right buys off on. Lemme guess. Tucker Carlson caused this stupid gossipy baloney rumor. Why wouldn't he? He gets paid millions to come up with this garbage.

Instead of thinking of reasons to hate President Biden, the right thing to do is to look at the big picture and be more objective.

Anything to distract from The Big Lie.

People dropped their support for Donald Trump because he was a terrible twice impeached fake leader who botched the pandemic response and got thousands killed needlessly.

And then Donald did what he always does. He tried to change the truth by telling The Big Lie. Most of America is not buying it. America would be much better off when those who still buy into The Big Lie finally realize they have been had.

And it is no shame to finally accept that one has been conned by one of the slickest con men in history.

I will certainly hand that one to Trump.

The greatest con man of all time.

Truly phenomenal.

He could sell freezers in Antarctica.

Carter was saying we need to conserve energy, live more frugally, try to stop spending. Reagan said screw that BS, turn the bull loose. Big money went with Reagan. Big money got what big money wanted.

Did you see the recent news story - the national archives just released the audio of a phone call between Reagan, when he was gov of CA and Nixon. Reagan was recorded calling African UA representatives, "monkeys".

The baby formula thing is just an easy dig on Biden and a bit of a throw away criticism but yeah he exacerbated that problem too. Abbot executives told Biden there would be a shortage if the FDA implemented a total shutdown but as usual Biden did his stubborn old man routine and refused to listen to reason.

TDS aside nobody can truthfully argue that America didn't thrive and prosper under Trump. Cheap gas, low inflation, full employment, record low unemployment for blacks,a secure border, returning manufacturing jobs a booming economy, Putin afraid to invade Ukraine........The good ole days of just a couple years ago.

As usual, in order to get a realistic version of the situation, do not listen to right wing propaganda, but instead go to a reputable main stream news source:

"Reports that cronobacter sakazakii (said to have caused several baby illnesses and deaths) may have been linked to Abbott products sparked the recent FDA investigation.

An inspection, conducted in the period between January 31 and March 18, 2022, confirmed samples of cronobacter "in medium and high care areas of powdered infant formula production."

In a statement published on May 11, 2022, Abbott said that "after a thorough review of all available data" there was no link between its formulas and the illnesses.

However, in an op-ed with The Washington Post, Abbott Nutrition CEO acknowledged an FDA investigation "did discover a bacteria in our plant that we will not tolerate."

The company said the cronobacter sakazakii was found in environmental testing during the investigation, but was in "non-product contact areas of the facility and has not been linked to any known infant illness."

A statement on the FDA's website on May 16, 2022, says Abbott Nutrition closed its plant voluntarily and initiated a voluntary recall of some of its products after concerns were raised earlier this year.

The FDA stated: "While the agency's inspection was ongoing, Abbott Nutrition voluntarily recalled certain powdered infant formula products and voluntarily shut down its facility to implement corrective actions that address issues raised by the FDA."

Subsequently, Abbott entered into a "consent decree" with the FDA on a series of steps necessary to reopen the plant.

The regulator said Abbott had agreed to take corrective actions following an inspection of its facilities, which would "ultimately result in an increase of infant formula products, while ensuring that the company undertakes certain actions that would ensure safe powdered infant formula is produced at the facility.""

We are lucky to have President Biden on the job.
