The Blue Wave Was A Nasal Drip

Well, it looks like to me that the Democrat’s predicted blue wave turned out to be nothing more than a blue blur tinged nasal drip. Yeah I know they did take a small majority in the House. They couldn’t find much to run on since the Trump economy, jobs and GDP growth numbers are out of sight up. So the left only found a single issue to bribe their base voters with, “healthcare.” Their other tactic was to ratchet up to a frenzy the Trump hatred. It got them the House of representatives. Now they gotta produce with a healthcare plan that none of their candidates ever bothered to explain during the campaign. The only thing I saw from them was to promote “Medicare for all” plan developed by the socialist Bernie Sanders. It will be interesting to see if they are able to pass that legislation out of the House.

Here’s what some net surfing produced for me about Medicare for all.

“A new study out Monday from George Mason University's Mercatus Center finds that Sanders plan would add $32.6 trillion to federal spending in its first 10 years, with costs steadily rising from there. That closely matches other studies — 1. including one by the liberal Urban Institute — that looked at Sanders' plan.”

I have a strong suspicion that healthcare will go on the back burner under Democrats control of the House and all front burners will be jacked up to high, high for more and more investigations into everything Trump. They’ll spend the next two years passing articles of impeachment and contriving every kind of accusation of a criminal Trump, his taxes, his business practices, his children’s business practices and taxes, sexual accusations and Trump hatred on steroids. I think Democrats are still obsessed with Trump beating Hillary and his great economy and they’ve been looking for some pay back for the Benghazi investigations pursued by the Republicans.

Stand by folks, the circus is about to begin in January!

Too bad so many incumbent Republicans bought into the notion of a blue wave and retired. If they had stayed in, the power of the incumbency almost certainly would have allowed them to keep the House.

There were many Never Trumpers that retired; good riddance.

This is very true; I haven't seen anything that explains the mass of retirements that occurred. Of course the idiot Flake saw he wasn't liked by Arizonans anymore.

Are you going to continue to open Blue-Wave threads?

What is this- you're 3rd now?

If you haven't realized the power this idiot president lost as a result of the Democrats winning the House back, we will be glad to show you the minute the House resumes and restores order.

Trump cannot hide behind Paul Ryan's skirt any longer! The dick-sucking and goober-smooching sounds you have been hearing for the last 2 years is over- done- notta- ain't-a-gonna-happen anymore!

Trump was furious when he started that presser. He was angry because some Repubs did not kiss the ring. And, like no president in history, he enumerated them claiming if they kissed up to him, they would have won. What about all those who did that lost? Ask Kobach how well kissing and hugging Daffy worked. Here is Maddow delineating what Trump actually accomplished.

So far, 31 House seats flipped from red to blue, with 9 more races still counting. Dems are ahead in 4, and within 1-2% in the other 5.

350 State Legislative Seats flipped (+ the 40 or so that flipped between 2016 and today)

7 state chambers flipped from red to blue including both chambers in New Hampshire.

GOP lost super-majorities in key battleground states Michigan, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.

Democrats gained super-majorities in a handful of states

Democrats gained unified control of government in at least 3 states, and now fully control 13.

7 Democrats won governor races, with two more heading to recount/runoff

Nearly every single Democratic-supported ballot measure passed, including restoring voting rights to 40% of African-American males in Florida, Medicaid expansion, legal weed, and minimum wage increases.

Down-ticket, Democrats wiped out Republicans in state official races and judgeships, the most notable being Texas' Board of Education, which now has a Democratic majority.

It could have been much worse; Trump could have been Obama.
