At least my member did not run for reelection--he was an idiot. The State School Board is mostly just symbolic and local districts are not really bound by their text choices or curriculum

They didn't retire. They cashed in after getting the tax cuts passed. They'll all be earning six figures in the private sector, while the taxpayer ponies up for their retirement in perpetuity.

They would have lost anyway. Dems will have gained almost 40 seats when this is done, along with 7 gubernatorial seats and 7 state houses.

Nasal drip indeed.

The big issue is the oversight of the trumpco cabinet and their profiteering.

That's funny, I don't care who ya are! Trump had massive Republican retirements and boosted many, Republicans over the finish line that otherwise would have likely lost. The fellow is a tireless energizer bunny. Obama's ass was dragging after less than 1/3 of the campaigning that Trump did and he was losing his voice, while Trump just got louder and more energized.

And Trump picked up seats in the Senate and Ruth B. Ginsburg just fell and damned near killed herself. No matter how ya cut it Trump Republicans picked up the Supreme Court and lower courts as far as your leftist eyes can see. Them's lifetime jobs, ya know? There's 4 elements to the federal government, The House, The Senate, The Presidency and the Courts and the right-wingers hold 3 of em, and you're applauding a small majority in just one. That's funny I don't care who ya are!

Actually, if you look at it all old friend logically, you'd notice that Trump just picked up the Supreme Court and lower courts for as far as your leftist eyes can see or imagine. He can appoint a shitload of Judges in 2 more years And old Ruth is on her last legs. Y'all better hope she can hold out for two more years or 6 more years if Trump wins again and holds the Senate. I have a strong suspicion that healthcare will go on the back burner under Democrats control of the House and all front burners will be jacked up to high, high for more and more investigations into everything Trump. They’ll spend the next two years passing articles of impeachment and contriving every kind of accusation of a criminal Trump, his taxes, his business practices, his children’s business practices and taxes, sexual accusations and Trump hatred on steroids. I think Democrats are still obsessed with Trump beating Hillary and his great economy and they’ve been looking for some pay back for the Benghazi investigations pursued by the Republicans.

Nothing is permanent. There are mechanisms in our democracy to remove corrupt judges from the bench, or judges who were appointed by corrupt officials. It's happened before, it'll happen again.

Also, there's nothing stopping Democrats from packing the courts if they get a majority. Nowhere is it written that SCOTUS has to be 9 members.
