When I was younger I rode motorcycles for almost 25 years.

I used to only ride one make of bike, namely Laverdas. They were big hand - assembled Italian jobs.

The Laverda factory's best-selling models were its 1000cc triple - cylinder motorcycles. One of these was called the Jota which was "tuned" (the standard engine was specially modified with high-compression pistons and higher-profile cams).

When I was living in England I bought a Jota and trust me the experience of riding it was better than sex.

The grunt of the motor was amazing- opening the throttle up fast would just about pull your arms out of their sockets, then there was the sound of the bike, which was this off-beat, baritone howl that got your adrenalin flowing.. Also, you could feel the bike working through the vibrations from the big motor as you were riding it (changing into different gears, easing off/twist on the throttle); then after you'd been riding the Jota hard for a while you would become enveloped in the gasoline-oil smells rising from the engine. So in sum it was pure fun and pure excitement - all of your senses were working overtime: visual, tactile, audition, smell.


Anyway, lots of guy (and some girls too) absolutely love riding motorcycles. A tremendous amount of what makes motorcycles popular (especially the bigger one) is that they are powered by gasoline engines. I can't imagine what riding an ELECTRIC motorcycle would be like. I suspect it would be a very bland and uninspiring experience, like having sex with 3 condoms on as opposed to none (:). An electric motorcycle would be as tedious, lifeless, and poe-faced as a politically correct American Liberal.



Passing legislation that would eventually outlaw gasoline motorcycles would kill the joy and exhilaration that 1000s and 1000s of bikers in America experience every day. I don't think bikers in the US will allow GND wankers to take their gas engines off them without a serious fight.


And do you know what REALLY gives me the shits about all this "Green New Deal" palava? I'll tell you... THERE IS NO GLOBAL CLIMATE CRISIS. The data on our yard machines is clear and includes a variety of pollutants. The equipment produced more than 68,000 tons of “smog-forming” air pollution, according to 2020 EPA data. Grist noted that dirty air output is about the same as running 30 million gas cars.*
Further, in 2020, the machines produced 30 million tons of air pollution, contributing to planet overheating. That’s more than Los Angeles makes, per Grist.*
As an everyday example, the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services reports that an hour of running a new gasoline lawn mower pumps out the same amount of volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxide air pollution as driving a new car for 45 miles.*
