I am not slightly anti in those cases AHZ. But even in those cases it will not work for every person. Even if they have a college degree :)

For someone who can write neither a coherent, nor grammatically correct sentence, you should be a little less concerned with what college I went to, and a little more concerned with whether or not you can get your money back from the one you went to.

You can be FULLY FOR one part of a complex solution, even if you believe it's not THE COMPLETE SOLUTION. No one's talking about mandatory telecommunicating, even for street sweepers. Why can't you just ever agree with something good wholeheartedly? i feel like im talking to my dad. Dammit! USC. You get to me sometimes, and I don't know why.

Any one else care to speculate on what's so grating about usc? I mean, I like the guy, but damn!

I have worked in the bleeding edge of the data communications field for most of my life. Just not into gadgets. I am up to well over 5,000 classroom hours of continuing technical education. I know more about many technical subjects that an engineer will out of college.
As a matter of fact one of my duties is to guide programmers from India to be sure their product is really what we need.
Now if I was into consumer electronics as a profession I would bone up on iPods and such....

I'm with you on this. When we're all on the computer all day, why need do we need all these handheld gizmos and crap. I have a cell phone that I never answer and hate blackberries and all that crap. Blue tooth? Go brush.

It is what he is best at Darla. I wonder what major/minor in college taught him that. College is assholes in assholes out, good guys in good guys out. Just because you have a degree does not make you a better person than someone else, contrary to spinners wannabe elitist beliefs.
Spinner reminds me so much of Rob in so many ways....

I worked from computer at home before they even called it telecommuting.

And with AHZ, yep I don't play with tech, it is my job. I use tech when it makes sense for me. My company I consult with provided me a cell phone about 1 year ago so I do have a cell phone / leash now .... :(
They just love to call me at 3 am for a bridge call....
Or when I am fishing at the pond with my 7 yr old grandson...

Tech can suck....

Yeah... but it is also nice when you are out biking in the middle of nowhere and need assistance.

My phone gets reception damn near everywhere now. Being a treo, it also allows me more freedom.... in that I don't have to sit at work waiting for a call or an email to come in. I can go out and have both forwarded to me.

I agree that it can have its downside if people are calling you at all hours... but generally that is what I use the OFF button for. You see if you turn it off.... they can't get to you. I know its CRAZY... but it works. :)
 
Yeah I just love being on a hike in the woods and my phone ringing.....
Or have those next to me chatting on their bluetooth headsets while I am trying to enjoy nature....
Hard to tell now-a-days if someone is wacko and talking to themselves or has a bluetooth headset on...
I am just glas they kept the ban on cellphone useage on planes...

Yeah you can turn em off, but since I am on call 24/7 my employer would get pissed.
