We, here in Colorado, are very despondant that our Emperor was killed in such a heinous manner! How could they treat him so shabbily after he had just rented such a nice tuxedo?

This is honestly the biggest piece of black comedy that's come my way in a while. I just can't get it out of my head, someone walking up to the governer's mansion and declaring they're THE EMPEROR!d

He never pointed the gun if you read the story.

You see you get someone to point a guun at him and theother to stun gun him.

If while you are stunning him he raises the gun the guy with the gun shoots him.

Its called police training.

You can't have the State Patrol armed only with stun guns in there. And hesitation when choosing between weapons could mean the life of innocents. The Capital building in Denver is a tourist attraction and filled with innocents.

If the criminal is armed with a real gun, using a stun gun is not the best option considering muscle spasms caused by electrical current can cause the gun to go off. How many innocents should die so that the nut can live?

She was just throwing options out, Damo.

It would be a better world if we could just stun all these people and save lives, though. But a stun guy, like you say, isn't the best in all situations. Of course, the story makes little mention of whether or not it was in operating hours, and every life matters anyway. Even if it does belong to someone who's a bit batty.

It was operating hours. It's all we are hearing about on the radio today.

The governor was in his office, nobody else was harmed, the guy threatened and acted as if he would carry it out, the cop fired.
 
Maybe there is another story about this, but I read the one at the link, and it does not seem to specify whether or not he pointed his gun. If he had it at his side, they acted too quickly. If he had it in the position where if it was fired someone would be shot, then what are you going to do? It's terribly tragic.

We actually do not know here yet what exactly he did that caused the State Patrol guys to fire on him. I actually eagerly await more news of the event.

The Capitol is very crowded with tourists, and he was in the area where the Temporary Governor's offices are located. While being escorted out is when the event took place... So, I am wondering if there was a struggle, and if he had put his hand on the weapon or not...
