Is that all too often, and by this I mean like maybe most of the time, and while they are often found lying claiming otherwise, they dont believe in anything, they have no compass.

I agree. I see no reason for the GOP to be a major party in this country precisely because they don't really believe in anything.

Republicans are failing for a much more obvious reason, a more fundamental reason. They're failing because they haven't done much that is worth doing. They haven't tried very hard to improve your life. When the crisis came, they fled. They did nothing to defend you. They did nothing to defend the country.

They were paralyzed. Their so-called principles turned out to be bumper stickers they wrote 40 years ago. They had no clue what to do.

Yep. I LIKE Stoney, but she can be SO dumb at times. I truly believe she's most likely been brainwashed by our hideously biased mainstream media. She parrots a lot of the crap she hears, most likely on CNN or MSNBC. This is sad because she CAN be very funny at times. Not tonight, however.

There are a lot of people who are either as stupid as they act or else they have some motive for acting stupid and by doing so degrading the quality of the conversation for everybody, which hurts us.....and either way.

We need to start peeling off those who are either too stupid to help or else are too indecent to help.....we gotta wise the fuck up.....for the kids and grandkids if we cant find a better reason.

Yep, good point. You noticed she's skipped off the thread, I don't think she likes being outnumbered. I THRIVE on it. Also, she has a very annoying habit of posting either "Source?" when she disagrees with you, and she uses the idiotic one word response, #whataboutism, whenever she's unable to make any kind of intelligent reply. I wonder if this is a millennial thing?

When I was in 7th grade I had this idiotic teacher who said on the first day "I dont believe that there is such a thing as a stupid question, if you have a question ask it, I will stop and answer it (paraphrase)".

You know what happened... several people in the class all semester tried to out do each other in asking the most stupid questions and the most stupid question.

The class was a disaster....online often feels like that.

...and the Democrats believe in something? Say what you will about Trump, but even he doesn't change his beliefs every few months. The problem with progressivism is that it continually moves the goalposts. One minute, they're saying you should be "colorblind" and judge people by the content of their character. The next minute, they tell you that's racist.

Democrats weren't always like this, but ever since the rise of social media, they change their beliefs and stances about as often as most people change their bedsheets.

Populism is slowly fixing the errors of neocons. Give it a few more years, and the GOP will be much more relevant than it was during the Bush era.

Those are fringe idiots, not mainstream Democrats. I don't know any mainstream Democrats that constantly move the goalposts like that.
And changing your mind on something doesn't mean you don't believe in anything. We know Trump doesn't believe in anything because his actions rarely match his words.
