The media is hilarious...

IMHO it would be impossible given the ways current laws are interpreted + monied interests & politician$ interested ...

Maybe. Although I'd rather try to change that than raise taxes on the 1%. All the attempts to tax the wealthy more usually fail for reasons that are similar to what you're referring to.

In short, if you understand that corporate lobbyists manipulate both parties, it should be clear that the tax policies written by the politicians they fund will benefit them. Oftentimes, lobbyists write the policies in reality.

What typically happens is that when taxes are raised on the wealthy, it tends to affect the bottom end of the top bracket more than the top end. Small business owners typically pay a higher percentage in taxes than billionaires, for example.

This is why small business owners are usually the most adamant about keeping taxes low, while certain billionaires will often talk about wanting to tax the wealthy more. It's because billionaires have more ways to hide their income than small business owners.

The only way that's going to change is if we change certain corporate laws. Changing tax laws rarely accomplishes much.

Yep, agreed, good points....

Most large corporations are owned by shareholders, many of whom are...regular people, many of who are investing as a means of providing a secure retirement for themselves. Groups of investors include pension funds, unions, etc.

Approximately 6 in 10 households in the United States own securities investments, typically through taxable accounts, IRAs or employer-sponsored retirement plans.

We have met the enemy, and he is...us.

nope he's 401 k idiots empowering the worst people on earth.

they call you the "dumb money".

Because that's not true.

There's plenty of money in this country. The wealthy, wall street and corporations needs to pay their fair share of taxes. The wealthy in this country can afford to pay taxes. Stop listening to racist who dont want Blacks and Mexicans to have what they, and now you, perceive as getting free shit.

They fuckin wealthy and corporations survive off of free shit............OUR TAX DOLLARS.

many of these neocons are fascists.

Of course I do.

You can try, and you can fail. Making shit up doesn't work, Nerdberg.

Unless you have verifiable evidence to substantiate your claim that "the liberal media hates the president because they love America", that's just your opinion.

Facts > opinions.

It is fact. The normal press loves America. The right-wing press loves part of it ,the haters, the bigots and those who are easily conned. The vast majority of the press is solid corporate.

The majority of the press is a combination of left wing journalists of the SJW bend and ownership that is corporate globalists.

SJWs are generally the useful idiots of corporate globalists, since they want loose immigration policies. Woke capitalism is willing to feign support for the LGBT stuff, feminism, and race-baiting as long as they maintain access to their cheap labor.

That's really what this comes down to. To be fair, the right doesn't hold employers of illegals much more accountable than the left.

and I quit being a republican years ago because of their commitment to globalism.

trump could very well be a populist fakeout.

I've always been registered independent, but I didn't start voting Republican until about 2014. Democrats used to be more palatable before identity politics hijacked them (and the anti-gun people).
