The Road to a Supreme Court Clerkship Starts at Three Ivy League Colleges

"Albert Yoon, a law professor at the University of Toronto and one of the study’s authors, said the finding was disturbing.

“We don’t really live in a meritocracy,” he said. “The Supreme Court is guilty of perpetuating some of the worst pathologies in American society.”

Why the fuck do we care what a Canadian thinks?

Far too many people go to college. They start life in debt and for what? At least half the graduates don't work in their discipline

But I think we can all agree that legal professionals should have college education, right?

You are right that currently we are forcing everyone to go to college even for things that don't actually require a degree. We need more trade schools. America has forgotten that university is not for everyone nor should everyone be forced into it if it doesn't fit their needs.

I agree legal professionals need to go to law school but I don't think they necessarily need a college education. If a person scores high on the LSAT let's say then why not just send them onto law school? I don't care if my lawyer has read Shakespeare or maya Angelou as long as they can satisfactorily meet the legal needs of their clients.

Yes I agree we need more trade schools and we need to let people know the trades are very honorable and respectful jobs and can be very lucrative.
