The Road to a Supreme Court Clerkship Starts at Three Ivy League Colleges

Because it's true. If you ask 100 high schoolers about going to college how many do you think would say they are going or are expected to go? I suspect the vast majority of them

Post that study. Obviously I think everything you say is stupid or a lie. Use facts or shut the fuck up.

I agree legal professionals need to go to law school but I don't think they necessarily need a college education. If a person scores high on the LSAT let's say then why not just send them onto law school? I don't care if my lawyer has read Shakespeare or maya Angelou as long as they can satisfactorily meet the legal needs of their clients.

You seem to have more an issue with a true "Liberal Arts" education. I wouldn't want a lawyer who wasn't more fully rounded and a liberal arts education can do that. But I can DEFINITELY see a zillion other fields that wouldn't necessarily require all the bells and whistles of a liberal arts education.

Yes I agree we need more trade schools and we need to let people know the trades are very honorable and respectful jobs and can be very lucrative.

Man, I hope one day we wake up start doing this.

Abraham Lincoln was a fairly good lawyer...and never went to college or law school.

Just sayin'!

Who said there is a shortage of trade schools? Never heard of that.

People who say it does not even matter if you do not go to college have no idea how our country is run.

While Russia’s Orthodox Church rootin’ tootin’ Putin continues his seemingly Carte Blanche Ukraine extermination as this Christian Nation SCOTUS Christiananality pedophilia Federal Lynching KKK churchstate of hate fiefdom drug trafficking enforcement extermination of Washington, D. C. born U.S.A citizens with fabricated Islam misnomers from the Bicentennial & again 30 years later for Rehnquist’s “what is 9/11?” Klues Klucks duh Klans Freudian slip in granted standing for extermination of “one nation under God with equal justice under law” as the communism of Christiananality Islamidiotcracy continues after the loss of more than 2 dozen National Archives purchased US Constitution Bill of Rights over the decades in running the country....

News to me. Why make such an absurd assertion?

Yeah, more and more hiring managers are requiring a bachelors even for fields that don't necessarily require it. There are a lot of jobs that could easily be done with an AA or even trade schools. But we de-emphasize the trade schools route. We need to beef up the trade schools again.

You keep saying that. What is the evidence of a lack of trade schools?!

The Federalist Society has been picking judges for the right. They have a huge file of potential judges tracking them from the beginning of college and even before. You will see judges from Liberty soon. They are looking for people who believe what they do and will decide on the "proper" values. The courts have always had some politicization, but nobody made a program out of it before. The Ivy leaguers will be down to 50 percent of potential judges in the future. Trump had no clue about judges. He just followed orders.
Graduating from college indicates that you will do hard work for a future payoff. Those are good employee qualifications. It also shows a level of intelligence.

I have no problem with a liberal arts education per se but, if you don't mind, tell me how you think a liberal arts education would help my lawyer help me beat a murder rap or successfully execute a business contract or write my will.

I couldn't agree more. I told my kids to become plumbers but they didn't listen.
