The plan for a 30-foot high, 2000-mile long concrete barrier along the southern border was proposed by no republican ever before trump.

Perhaps Obama should tear down the wall around his home. Prison walls too.

Trump spent two years conjuring the image of a Great Wall of China on our southern border - at times, he predicted it would be 30 to 40 feet high, big, and beautiful. Wingnuts on this very forum recently sang the praises of the Berlin Wall as an analog, until we embarrassed them into stopping the Berlin Wall analogy.

Trump made the metaphor of a big, impenetrable, imposing concrete wall across the southern border. Trump drew the analogy to the Great Wall of China, and JPP.Com wingnuts made the analogy to the Berlin Wall.

You are not allowed to backtrack, retreat, or move goal posts. You and Trump are not getting your big, beautiful concrete wall, and liberals are not obliged to assist you in trying to save some face.
 
Any kind of wall, barrier, deterrent, barricade, surveillance, fencing, tech, man power, etc. used properly in the appropriate unprotected areas of the southern border where reinforcement is necessary used to slow down, impede or prevent ILLEGAL crossings is just fine with me.
WE have to obey our laws...FOREIGN ENTRANTS have to obey our laws. Every nation on the earth has laws concerning the entry and exit of non-citizens.

The very LEAST expectation/prerequisite in the FIRST step to gaining entry into the U.S. of a foreign adult leaving a country whose laws they hate, is for them to show enthusiasm and respect for the law of the country they wish to ENTER. If one can't or won't even do THAT to make a good first impression of their character, anything they say or do afterward is at best suspect and at worst deemed untrustworthy and dishonest in OTHER behaviors or intentions.
