The sheer GENIUS of PRESIDENT TRUMP declaring the Border Crisis a National Emergency

The national emergency law was simply so that the president could do something in a hurry, that was the intent of the legislature. In the current circumstance the Congress had all the time in the world, and specifically refused.
 
Trump is abusing the system and the constitution. I hope he gets slapped by the courts, this is fun to watch.

The real reason I did this is because it will take until after 2020, and so he can claim he still working on the wall, his people will be dumb enough to believe it.

In 1976, Congress passed the National Emergencies Act, which permits the president to pronounce a national emergency when he considers it appropriate. The act offers no specific definition of “emergency” and allows a president to declare one entirely at his or her discretion.

I can provide the section of the CONSTITUTION that defines the power of Congress to appropriate funds. That intent is crystal clear.

Article I, Section 9

"No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law.

$1.4 billion was appropriated for the wall. The rest was refused. Why is that so difficult to understand?

Normally, I might agree. But this White House is unlike any other. Each day will bring new data about his crime syndicate. The border wall is a non issue. There will be no wall. There will be border security where needed, and trump will be long gone before the wall issue would ever come up again.
