The Supreme Court faces an existential crisis of legitimacy

then they can influence their respective states to establish their laws to so allow.

I’m agreeable to that as long as what amounts to a total ban isn’t implemented or women’s life and health are not endangered. Conversely I’m opposed to unrestricted abortions.

I don't honestly believe any state will be able to pass a 100% ban.
That said, they can probably get very detailed regarding what "woman's health" consists of.

You people are offensive both because it's intentional and because that's just the way you people are. Guns don't change that.

With all of your groans, I must be doing something right. Actually, it is your cruddy, stinky and dusty clock that needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

So, you actually are tired of getting your clock cleaned.

You could have just said so.

If the SC was 5-4 liberal, Soto would not say a word about the people fearing it was becoming political. Neither would gemi.

Elections have consequences...suck it up, Soto. Justices like you who never defend the Constitution have made the court political.

Is that the best that you can do ??? Methinks that Earl has to be careful drinking his coffee so he doesn't spew it all over his keyboard from laughter.

If this was formal debate using the Rubric Template for scoring, his scores would be off the chart low.

I recall seeing debaters like him escorted off the stage amid peals of derisive laughter.

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor said it better than any of the court’s external critics. "Will this institution survive the stench this creates in the public perception, that the Constitution and its reading are just political acts?” she asked during oral arguments on Mississippi’s abortion law on Wednesday. “If people believe this is all politics, how will we survive? How will this court survive?”

it was about politics in 72 and its still around and better than ever.....

Please tell me: What can the words “pro-life” possibly mean when the same people who want to constrain abortion are eager to make it easier for Americans to obtain and carry deadly weapons?

it would mean not killing a million unborn children a year.......telling me something else that kills that many and we shouldn't talk about.........

You are a putrid excuse as a poster. Trump broke down the walls between the branches of government and openly politicized the courts. The highest court in the land has lost its respect. The nominees lied about stare decisis. Kav had his alleged mind made up and his path determined. He lied about respecting past decisions. Trump made the courts, all of them he could, political and under the power of some very powerful people. The Roberts court is the most pro-corporate and anti-worker of all time. Biden should expand the court.

and Biden expanding the court would not be political?........Roosevelt thought it was political when he considered expanding the court.......in fact, the SC has been political ever since......
