I think they get this mindset because they are failures in the capitalist system. Why else push a failed system that takes from the haves to give to the have not's? If not for being a have not that is.

I don't think he gets enough cred for liberating the mentally ill in this country & essentially dumping them on the streets-filling the jails, prisons & empty spaces in many city streets, parks etc..

We were talking about Reagan's economy policy. His trickle down system worked. He cut taxes and grew the economy and grew the money coming in to the federal government. The fact that it and more was spent by both parties doesn't change the fact that it worked. Lack of fiscal discipline was the culprit. The system worked extremely well. As it's working again with trump. As it worked in the past with Kennedy.

Trickle down is wrong. it is trickle up. The wealthy keep getting wealthier in Repug admins because that is the plan. The presidents generally get more credit than they deserve and less blame. Reagan was the blueprint for the horrible wealth gap we have now. Trump made it much worse. Trickle-down has failed miserably. The inequities we suffer are a logical result of that bad policy.
 
How Reagan has escaped the criminal Iran/Contra mess in his legacy is amazing. He was questioned and repeated, ""I do not recall". He should have been in jail.

The rich get richer anyway. Having money makes making more money easier.

The goal of trickle down was to grow the economy so that more people could move up and prosper. It was a success. Yes the rich got richer but so did the poor and middle class. Rising tide raises ALL ships.

Inadequacies? Seriously? You will never fix the income differentials. Making the environment for a great economy so that ALL who wish to participate can find work or open a business is the goal. The tax cuts reagan passed worked. It was criticized and called trickle down economics. It worked well.

Absolutely wrong. The tinkle down is not for the benefit of the people. It is a gift to the ruling class. It also does not work as an economic plan.
You sure throw out those terrible mistaken cliches the rich threw out. Do some homework. Trickle down has been a disaster and is ;laughed at by economists. Laffler made it up and he gets no respect.

When you cut taxes you aren't give the rich or anybody anything. You are allowing THEM to keep more of what THEY earned. This is horrible for you redistributionist. Many of you probably rely on the labor of others for your food and housing and perhaps the internet you bitch through. When Kennedy cut taxes businesses/the rich used the savings to invest in their business. The upper and middle class had more disposable income to spend and many did. As they purchased goods and services with this disposable income that was given back to them via the tax cut it caused manufacturers to expand. This expansion required more people to handle the increase. As this expansion employed more people they started making money. They also spent some of that money for goods and services. The term trickle down is nothing more than what happens when you cut taxes. It is 100 percent effective in growing the economy and a rising tide raises ALL ships. Yes the rich get richer but so does anyone willing to work. As trump just proved jobs expand and wages rise as well.

Oh stop it. Taking what they earned. How childish is that. As warren said, the wealthy are getting great benefits from the institutions and infrastructure the taxpayer built. They get employees from our educational system. They get use of the roads that transport their goods. They get so much from what we built and you think they owe nothing. Thre are studies for this you know? The money to the wealthy does not go into the public economy at all like a cut to the masses does. The people will increase demand by buying things. He tripled the national debt...and any "growth" we had was fiction. We put the "growth" on our national credit card.

Tax payers built the roads and infrastructure. The wealthy are among the hardest hit tax payers. In fact decades ago wealthy tax payers had 70 plus percent of their income stolen from them by government. So it's safe to say that I pay my fair share for those roads and infrastructure. As a home owner I pay for the education of kids I no longer have in school via property taxes. So all the leftist garbage you just typed above is horse shit.

All roads and infrastructure are there for all. Even the poor can use them......and they didnt contribute a nickle to its construction. So the poor can live on my back. Drive on my road. Sleep in my dwelling. Visit my doctor. Eat my food. Wear my clothes. Talk on my phone. Surf on my internet service. I work hard for them to do that while they produce nothing. Like a parasite they take and take. Live off the backs and sweat of others. Very sad really.

Btw they say the more money you make the more bills you have. They say that for a reason and its true.
