Zoos have an important place in preserving species esp. now during our human-caused sixth mass extinction event. Being able to see and learn about creatures we won't see outside of a zoo gives us a better appreciation of the wondrous diversity of our shared world, IMO.

I doubt there will be mass deportations. Trump will make a token effort, declare victory and blame the Democrats when it's not fully implemented.
There's a reason why Congress hasn't instituted legislation to fix the problem such as locking up those hiring, renting to and otherwise enticing illegals to come to America or those who came legally to stay past their visas. It's all about the money.
