A person promoted to a new position because they ere the best at their old position is a probationary employee in their new job. All of those with a new job title were fired because they were "probationary."

Were they the best? If so they'll get their job back... Is moving out of one probationary period into the next really a promotion? If.
Someone was essential and the company can't do without them They will be Rehired... I've already said a little more finesse.Might have been a better idea but it is what it is... I'm so happy to see Change it hard for me to be mad.... If hard-working dedicated, people lost their job I hope they find something else... And I hope that hiring practices Go through major changes and that employers Aren't given?
So many restrictions. Why they have to keep people who are no longer necessary or productive... Everyday I see.
Examples of people who should have been let go long ago but the employer's hands are tied for various reasons... That's nonsense... Again lots of changes needed... lots of changes happening... promises made ...promises kept...

It sounds like you are actually coming around to my way of thinking. The ED is administering the money, but just do not have enough staff to actually do a good job of it.

I agree. A tiny department of ten to twenty thousand could do a really good job. The idea they can get by on 4,200 is a joke.

Why would they want to meet with an individual teacher? Why would you want to meet with them? They send out school district wide grants, so why would they care about anything else? Did the USPS also have meetings with you? Did the Bolshoi Ballet have meetings with you? How about the Dallas Cowboys football team?

Not only do you claim they met with you, and for no reason, but also that they went to your school. There are about 100,000 schools in America, do you realize how much time it would take to visit them all?

Government salaries are so low. They claim they make up for it with stability... But that is gone now. It is a great time to be hiring professionals with so many people leaving the government.

The meeting was with our team of 6 teachers and the psychologist... a periodic evaluation which I already mentioned... We had quite a number of them in 30 years.... We are a very large syst.;) How does a Department of Education salary compare To a teacher's salary? And what are the qualifications for these jobs.... What a waste of money that could be Very much better spent... I'm very happy to see The changes... The much needed changes...
The department of education has never been there for the teachers or the schools or the students... And so it's time for them to go...
. I'm betting you haven't been inside of a school in a long time For more than half an hour...and never in a special education classroom setting...

It was not about grants... We were just told they would be there and we Showed up... Our classes were covered...
As I mentioned before , they didn't know anything about what was actually happening in schools... None of them were former teachers...They were clueless about what we were doing and their suggestions were useless... Maybe they just used it as an excuse to take a Vacation...
 
Workers have rights. Federal worker's rights are spelled out. President Musk ignored them doing what rich people do. Everyone should be treated with respect. Trump and Musk are showing what they think of workers. Fuck them all. Bulldoze them out of the way and defy them, to do anything about it. The probationary period in many Fed Jobs is 2 years. Many of them moved to a new location for the job. I know screw them, they are not wealthy and have no power.
