Okay, we know what Trump & company are all about. And let's get real, Biden's idea of "progressive" Democratic Party is to take any move for "universal health care" right off the table. Sanders locks steps and abandons true progressive politics without so much as a growl as he's TWICE cheated out of a nomination.

If it was any other election, I'd agree. But when it's literally Democracy vs Fascism, I'll just vote for the lesser evil.
Bernie is doing the right thing. He knows that if Fascism wins, not having healthcare will be the least of our worries. Let's try to get Biden in there, then we can try to bring him further Left.

But is the SOS every election season, and for every one step forward in the country we get one and a 1/2 steps back...and sometimes not even that! (From Bush to Clinton to Bush, for example). Biden is more right of center than Obama...and even if the GOP weren't stone walling him, Obama wasn't exactly a progressive across the boards.

It's got to start somewhere...and like the royally cheated 3rd party candidate Ralph Nader said, "I won't ask my supporters to vote for another candidate, let that candidate do what I did....LET THEM EARN THOSE VOTES.

That's just not realistic. We have two choices. The closest thing to a third choice is the option to throw your vote away.

Since America was founded, it's been moving to the Left. Social change takes time, but it only happens if we're willing to vote for change even when we know it will be slow-moving.

Bottom line: when enough is enough, people will move to make a change...and change in America has NEVER been done with a smooth transition....the Civil Rights movement is a clear example of that. Hell, the damn country was founded on violent revolution, followed by a Civil War.

Painful as it may be, I suspect that Dump will get his 4 more years due to Red State voter suppression tactics, this latest mail-in kerfluffle, and the Dem shooting themselves in the foot by screwing Bernie Sanders....again! I mean, you have a candidate that has the vast majority of a key voting block >young voters< and you work AGAINST his candidacy for the Presidential run? Jeezus!

Hope does spring eternal in that the GOP may lose it's edge in the House and Senate.....by which the Dems should stone wall Dump whenever and wherever possible. As was done with Obama....fair is fair.

But if you plant the formation of a viable third party, you may see a "tea party" type takeover of the Dem party in 4 years.

That is the reality.

He and those pulling his strings certainly would like that...as we've seen movements in that direction since Reagan ("unofficial polls" touted on MSM and conservative media as to whether people would like term limits eliminated).

All hell would break loose when "Homeland Security" starts issuing official uniforms and it's legion carrying the "Patriot Act" copy in their vest.

Alright, so look at it like this. If Biden wins, we get a chance to pull him to the Left. We get a chance to vote for a real Liberal in the future. If Trump wins, we might not get to vote ever again in our lifetimes.

If Dump gets in, we may (hopefully) see something akin to Nixon's resignation before the country implodes...unless the Dems get the edge in the House and Senate and stonewall like they did Obama for 8 years.

Agreed, but it's like two large corporations squashing any competition. I'm going to vote a second straight Libertarian ticket this year.

It might be better if larger third parties merged. The Republican party continues to set itself on fire, but the Democrats are going to embarrass themselves after this election when they, once again, have the WH, (probably) the Senate and the House but still can't get anything done.
