Transgender support isn't "woke"

Actually no, I did not know this mythic threat to the very foundation of American values, beginning with our children. It's evident that you think that exposure to any hint of sexuality other than holding hands will cause the corruption of our holy children, and the extinction of not only the American Way, but possibly the human species.

Kids are a lot more resilient than you regressives believe. Growing up being exposed to people who don't speak your language, who don't look like you, who have visible disabilities, who eat weird foods -- those have all been human fears in this country for 200 years. Yet we managed.

Cope with the gender thing you will. -- Yoda

Clearly you have not seen video of these events.

You're younger than me, maybe that's the issue. Did you guys have to endure the annual Presidential Fitness Tests too?
LOL...yes. I did fine with those tests.

In The Bronx, we also had air raid drills. Even as a child I questioned the efficacy of hiding under my desk? We had huge windows that went to the ceiling. I used to daydream about bombs coming through the windows.

"Normalizing" shouldn't be a bad word here. I think most people - whatever their orientation - could agree that as long as something doesn't harm someone else, we should generally have respect and tolerance for our fellow human beings.

Obviously, that doesn't entail "grooming," which I think is a somewhat fabricated threat. It has kind of become the go-to for people who just want to justify an agenda of hate.
It's typically t.v. or movies that have to normalize the issues that society refuses to accept.

Every show we watch has a gay couple, or characters who are attracted to another of the same sex. I think it's law now! As you say, it harms nobody. It seems that these couples are required to make out in every episode, and my GF and I overreact like a couple of 11 years olds. We do it in jest, but the act adds absolutely nothing to the plot. They're just normalizing the issue, which might take a few decades to come to fruition.

They should be able to compete, but only after they lose muscle mass, lung capacity, and strength.

The way NCAA rules (which are being reviewed) now exist, the length of hormone treatment isn't long enough.

There is a way to get it done so it's fair, but it would take years. That swimmer is a prime example. He ranked 400+ as a male swimmer. Now he dominates women's swimming. Further, he uses the women's locker room even though he is still attracted to women.

The female swimmers' rights are being denied at every turn.

It will change over time.
An open category is the answer...that's what should happen, and will...

I don't think so. There isn't enough competition to have a new category. Over time, men will eventually lose enough muscle mass and lung capacity. It just takes longer than the current guidelines. What I don't understand is why they don't compete against the men? It appears that there is an obvious desire to gain an unfair advantage by competing against women.

I lived in Dayton till I was eight; we moved to St. Louis for dad's job. We were close to Wright-Patterson and also had those air raid/nuclear bomb drills. I distinctly recall thinking one time, while crouched under the desk, that over in Russia there was probably some other little girl doing the same thing, wondering if the Americans were going to turn her into radioactive dust.

It's not hard to add a race or five to a meet...We've done it in the past when there weren't enough boys or girls to fill lanes in a certain event....FINA is doing it now.... Men will "never" become women..It's just a fact... Men want to compete against women when they don't do well against the men...Will Thomas is a perfect example of that... Just compete in open events...much simpler, much more "fair"...

https://www.foxnews.com/media/graph...bondage-outrages-twitter-absolutely-abhorrent this is in the UK but I would not doubt that there are the same "quality" American performances available on a sunny Saturday morning at the local library......what's the message for toddlers here?

*Fox* -- *snort* "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" Before you wax all moralistic on us, maybe you should drop the grotesque cybersexting thing with married man Hawkeye. :rofl2:

BTW, aren't you the one who used to tell everyone that you went to church on Sunday evening, and then posted a link to a black drag/burlesque show where you claimed to "worship"? Oopsies. lol

Reading this thread and seeing the goings on in this country as it pertains to this sort of stuff makes me understand more why the Amish live like they do. Kind of makes me want to go join them. :|

The Amish communities aren't all they're cracked up to be anymore...especially with the puppy mill problems.... But I understand your desire for a simpler lifestyle....for sure...;)

I don't know. Their garments look awfully itchy and hot in the summer. Alsotoo, wouldn't it be hard to be a moderator w/o electricity? ;)

How am I ignorant if what I posted is accurate?
It's in the Script to use "Ignorant" and "Idiot" (and a few other choice words, including "racist"...) to respond to certain posters. There seems to be an "approved" list....;) No other reason....

Why does anyone care about what people are in Hershey’s advertising?

Who has time to even pay attention?

I guess I'm not familiar with what's going on with Hershey's. I know plenty of women had issue with the former male Penn swimmer. I know there are plenty of people who have concerns over kids having surgeries and the science behind it. I don't consider it anti-trans that people have these concerns or ask questions.

I wasn’t familiar with it either until I got a link to this on Facebook this morning. I promptly went to Jeremy’s site, the good capitalist that he is, whoever he is, and ordered $100 worth of candy bars. I’ll give them away to women and men who will appreciate the sentiment in honor of Women’s History Month. :D

But you're competing in a different class. At some point, there has to be a finals. Better to have men compete against men. If they want to hasten the process of becoming a woman, then gender reassignment surgery might help.
