Transgender support isn't "woke"

no they aren't.

we're against child grooming and genital mutilation of minors.

Your militia is not against blowing up those same kids for political purposes. They've done it before and are still trying to do so.

Do you really think the RW terrorists who shoot up power stations like in Moore County, North Carolina, give a shit if anyone dies, kids included, because they cut the power?

That's a specific action & a specific policy. Opposing that is anyone's right.

But please. There are about a half dozen transgender threads on here a day, and it has become a national obsession w/ the right. And it's not all centered around sports.

Outside of sports I have no problem with trans being trans, but in sports, men should compete with men, women with women.

Even our Boston hospitals can't do that quite yet.

They can keep this ancient machine running for no readily discernable reason, but they can't do that.

Keyword being "yet".

We'll need a computer to determine if the person is worth cloning or simply pulling the plug.

LOL.

Open your eyes.

A little over 50% of HS kids participate in sports. About 1.4% of HS students are trans. Given the same percentage of trans participate in sports, that's less than 1% of the group.

In 2020, just over one-half of children aged 6–17 years (54.1%) participated in sports during the past 12 months (Figure 1). While the percentage of children that participated in sports was higher for boys (56.1%) compared with girls (52.0%) and for children aged 12–17 years (55.6%) compared with children aged 6–11 (52.5%), these observed differences were not significant. Non-Hispanic White children (60.4%) were more likely to have participated in sports compared with non-Hispanic Black (42.1%), Hispanic (46.9%), and non-Hispanic Asian (51.4%) children. All other observed differences by race and Hispanic origin were not significant.

But in 2017, the CDC added a question about transgender identity to its Youth Risk Behavior Survey for high schoolers. Based on years of data from that survey and statistical models developed by Herman and others, the researchers found that among teenagers ages 13-17, 300,000 identify as transgender, which adds up to 1.4 percent of the nation’s population within that age group.

I sometimes wonder if there's any other former professional athlete in this nation who attributes less importance to sports than I do.

I wonder if any donut cutters feel the same way about donuts.
I hope the hell not.
I still attribute substantial importance to them.

Still, I don't imagine many donut cutters end their careers at age 21.
Maybe longevity gives them more perspective.

Correct.

Previously, the NCAA required one year of hormone treatment, with no mandatory testosterone levels.

Now it's going to be 3 years, with regular hormone testing. As it should be.

This is an issue across the world, with countless women losing spots in the Olympics to men.

Over time, they'll get it right. In high level sports, you can't compete if you use PEDs, which ironically testosterone is one.

The challenging issue of protecting the rights of trans people is violating the rights of women.

There is work to be done.

Perhaps CIS women should be allowed to use PEDs?

The fact the Left is harming women first and fixing it later is about par for the course when men are involved. LOL
