it's that go along to get along attitude towards evil that permeates the boomer upper middle class.

I think you support him for one main reason - you agree with what he says are his priorities, and you think he can and will carry them out.

But he is a liar, cheat and two-bit con man, and he never gave anything to anyone. So good luck with that.

Ok, you could have said that.

Truth Tellers are reality based, we think about and talk about what is, we filter our such bias in our thinking because it gets in our way. I am of course also a Zennist, we believe that the self is a necessary illusion but an illusion none the less, we spend a lot of time in our early training taming the ego so that we can see clearly. We do believe in mental hygiene, but in our schemes negative thinking is that which keeps us from seeing the Universe as it is, it has nothing to do with whether we like what we are seeing or not....its all about the quality of the work not what we like and dont like.

I do understand the Western Power of Positive Thinking regime to some extent , and find some of the motivations for it admirable, but it has nothing to offer me, an Eastern trained truth teller.

I think the big thing with the boomers is their faith in the system. they happened to be in the love bombing phase of the hidden hand takeover of society. they must be cut some slack. some.

No it is not faith in the system....it is lazyiness and not giving two fucks about the health of the society and its systems and its institutions, because it was all about them and how much they could get/steal.

It is also a sense that humanity and the human race is doomed, so giving a fuck is waste of time/energy/potential for fun.....and here I suspect that you and I come back into agreement.

We as a society have PTSD, we have handled it very poorly...and now we are very fucked.

maybe not faith in the system, but ease itself. own a home/raise a family on a factory worker income. ok. or be a professional and have two homes and send kids to ivy leagues. ok. go along to get along works in that scenaro.
