I have never seen so clearly an image of a rich nepo baby and his gold digger wife.

who gives a shit?

Ray Maybus spent 2 years in the Navy in 1970-1971 and 40 years later Obama gave him the title

you dipshits actually thinks his two years in 1970-1971 are the experience that qualified him for this role?
It is part of his qualifications, along with years as Mississippi State Auditor, Commander-In-Chief of the Mississippi National Guard, and a dozen other roles.

Being in the navy is not a requirement for a high position. They are executives organizing far-flung bases and personnel. That is the skill set required. It is like Trump's defense department choice, Hegseth. His qualification is that he was in the army as a soldier and then a Fox commentator. This is equivalent to GM picking a guy off the assembly line to run an international organization. Well, he was at GM for 20 years.
You are exactly why dumb fuck Democrats got removed, soundly and quickly from our government. Educate yourself, obviously the GED has done nothing.

Trump announced Tuesday that he will nominate an art collecting Republican megadonor who works in finance and has no military experience to run the Navy.

“It is my great honor to announce John Phelan as our next United States Secretary of the Navy!” Trump said, in a statement. “John will be a tremendous force for our Naval Servicemembers, and a steadfast leader in advancing my America First vision.”

Phelan heads Palm Beach-based private investment firm Rugger Management and formerly managed the investments of billionaire Michal Dell.

His sole qualification for the Navy job seems to be that he helped the Trump campaign raise a lot of money.

I just hope they don't try to name a navy ship after Trump?!!

Whoa, hold the dishonesty for a moment! Phelan will not be running the Navy; he will serve as the civilian control of the Navy. The Navy Chief of Staff will still be running the Navy. The founders wanted the military running the military, but always being under the control of civilian authority.

Let me know what part of this confuses you.

His sole qualification for the Navy job seems to be that he helped the Trump campaign raise a lot of money.
His overwhelming qualification is that he is civilian, and not military.

It gets worse and worse. Just what we need, on the job training to run our biggest departments. The only experience these people have is sucking up to trump and giving him donations.
Incompetence and criminality are job requirements to serve in a Republican administration. During the last five Republican presidencies 119 administration officials were convicted of crimes. During the last five Democratic presidencies one administration official was convicted of a crime.

Sad, but funny because it's true.

It's long been a goal of the Republican Party to destroy the Federal government. It used to be "States Rights", but now they are seeking to do it through corruption and incompetence.

You're right. I've always thought incompetence was an intentional feature, not a bug.

Hiring people who hate the government to run the government is the same as hiring a football coach who hates football. The intention is to not have the institution succeed.

That seems to be the plan. When the plan starts working, I'm curious to see how most Americans react. I'm guessing they won't take it very well.
