So conservatives as well as liberals should be concerned. We all know you will never stamp out fraud but with proactive programs we can hopefully keep it at a minimum.

I have relatives on Wellfare programs so I am sensitive to the need for such programs. But that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to fraud.

We do not turn a blind eye to fraud, which (compared to all the millions served over the decades) is pretty rare. You may not know any "conservatives" in real life who bitch and moan about "those lazy slackers on welfare," but there are plenty of them just here on JPP -- and thousands and thousands more IRL. We even have a relative who was on EBT, "welfare" (monthly cash payments for their two kids), and unemployment who STILL bitched bitterly once his unemployment ran out and he had to get a job -- about how his taxes were going to pay ppl to sit on their asses and not work. "You mean, like you and your able-bodied wife did for almost a year?" I had to ask. (They no longer speak to us and good riddance, lol). Just like there are employers who hire illegals and pay them under the table, there are public aid recipients who find similar deals. But if you work at a regular job, even PT, they WILL find out about it.

Way back when BJ Bill was POTUS the public welfare rules were changed. It is far more difficult to qualify now, and only in very rare cases is anyone allowed to continue to collect benefits after two years.

The plutocrats have had a long time plan to gut SS welfare and food stamps. They began by spreading the name "entitlements". They pounded that so hard that even lefts refer it as that. You paid for SS. It was taken out of every damn check your whole career. The Reds knew an entitlement label would change people's reactions to it. Oh these people think they are entitled. i will show them. So it took a couple of decades. They have unlimited money and lots of time. The America they are creating is not by revolution, but by erosion. They keep grinding away until in the end, you cannot recognize what we once were.
The wealthy at the top are not going to help you no matter how often you vote for them and beg. Trump is a plutocrat making other plutocrats wealthier. We all know he walked into Mira lago after the tax cut and announced" I made you all a lot richer'. That is what he has done from day one. Trump is not your friend.
