Trump's personality

Bush & Trump were both millionaires the instant they were born.

It's a mistake to equate financial success with intelligence. There are a lot of rich people who you would never want near the oval office.

Don't be a hater; just because you're poor. :palm:

Odd, Schwartz spent weeks and weeks with Trump one on one.

"it’s impossible to keep him focussed on any topic, other than his own self-aggrandizement, for more than a few minutes,

Trump’s short attention span has left him with "a stunning level of superficial knowledge and plain ignorance.”

...reset button...
...what difference does it make...

There are a lot of "you guys are so crazy" sentiments directed toward the lefties here. Definitely an expression that the left is way over the top, and just being "sore losers."

Can anyone on the other side explain to me what it is about Trump's personality that gives you cause to express that?

what a strange premise.......we don't call you crazy because of Trump's personality......we call you crazy because we observe your craziness........

Not credible. Even if this is what you do - 3,500 lawsuits?

.

what's the percentage?......is that 100% of the contracts he's been involved in?.......or .00001%......is it significant or insignificant?......how many millions of people have had business dealings with him in the last 40 years?.....did anyone ever win any of the 3,500 law suits?......so many questions are never answered......

Did you regularly stiff your contractors when the work was completed?

has he?....any one in business can tell you that if you stiff your contractors even a noticeable small part of the time you are no longer in business.......He was in business a long long time.....

They seem like serious relevant questions to me. Of course you aren't really interested in a serious, substantive discussion. You are only interested in trying to tear down Trump and justify your reasons for hating him.

Let me help you out. The real reason you hate Trump is because you are mad at how wrong you got the election. You never once for one single second seriously contemplated that Trump could win. You were 1000% sure that Hillary would be victorious. You are so self assured of your own moral superiority and intelligence that you think that ALL intelligent people think like you. Because why would you be wrong? Right?

Deep down you are really mad at yourself

Thanks, professor.

Actually, it's much more simple than that. Trump is a fraud & a con man. He's a classic narcissist, and (forgive the cliche) a bully.

That conservatives are so willing to overlook his flaws & lunacy is beyond me. It used to be that "role model" was something they valued in a President. No more.

So no comment on the nature of the lawsuits against Trump?

Some people here are confused, "winning" is not the same thing as good or correct. Often the worst base instinct ends up "winning" because they are the most ruthless. When it comes to being president that means the worst choice wins, because he was willing to compromise more moral principals than the other guy. This is not always true, but it happens all the time in all walks of life.

Additionally, I did not see the same people who love trump for being a "Winner" flock to Obama for being a "Winner".

Obama was a political newcomer, he beat HRC for the Nomination, then won the presidency and a second term. He got healthcare passed something presidents such as Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, Clinton, FDR and others tried but failed to get accomplished. By the measure you are calling Trump a "Winner" on, Obama is certainly a "Winner". Therefore, using your measure.... Those who are smitten by Trump for being a "winner" should have been in LOVE with Obama, but they were not.

This didn't sound any smarter the fourth time you posted it as compared to the first time.

As Grind so brilliantly pointed out you are living in this faux reality you have created for yourself. Is he a fraud and con man? That is your opinion. If people know what they are getting then he is not perpetrating a fraud now is he? Is he a narcissist? Fuck yeah he is a narcissist. I doubt anyone achieves the level of success he has and aspires to be President WITHOUT being a narcissist. That you ascribe those characteristics to him and somehow think they are absent in your own politicians represent your own lack of realism than any character flaws Trump possesses.

You also seem to be operating under this false illusion that conservatives strive for some "perfect" candidate. What is more striking in your comment is that your last statement seems to imply that the democrat party does not value a "role model" in a President.

Lastly, all those things that you think of Trump the right thought of Obama. Of course you will vehemently disagree, but that won't change that dynamic.

As I have so brilliantly pointed out previously, when you have a country that is as split as ours and a federal government that has abrogated so much power than the US Constitution authorized you are bound to have half of the country unhappy with the outcome of an election.

The left was unhappy for 12 years of Reagan/Bush. The right was unhappy with 8 years of Bill Clinton. The left was unhappy with 8 years of Bush 43. The right was unhappy with 8 years of Obama. Notice a trend here? Well guess what? Tag you are fucking it.

You are so fucking convinced of your own moral superiority that you can't fathom that there are those that think differently than you. So now you will spend the next four years trying to get people to change their minds. Well guess what? If past is prologue they will not change their minds anymore than Obama voters changed their minds.

From my perspective you Obama supporters overlooked many of his failings and Hillary's failings. That you ascribe this failing only to your political opponents and not your allies says more about your own biases and prejudices than those you seek to impugn

I have observed Trump for years.

And we all know what he's about. You just don't want to deal w/ it.

You have observed him through the lense of the Left wing media, and since he moved away from the dim wit Democrat orbit two years ago give or take, all those things he said or did in the past (when he was a dim wit) are now no longer acceptable to them or to you.

Myself: I don't 'trust' any politician, never have. I also know I can't read minds of others as you upside down Liberal/Progressive/Marxist/Statist/Fascists think you can, (butt: we all know ya can't read minds), you can only project yer own deficiencies towards others as Lefties always do.

The Dumpster is definitely a high risk POTUS, as he doesn't care what the Left, Hollywierd, the state run media, (or the Republican establishment fer that matter), thinks of him. He is careless when he speaks, and as a wealthy New York dim wit Democrat bully: many things he has said over the years don't sound so good.

With all those flaws, those of us who are sane and pragmatic had a binary choice on November 8.

My personal cornclusion was Hillary is a pathological liar and an unindicted felon who sold her country's interests to the highest bidder, (and the corrupt dim wit Democrat party of slavery, kkk, jim crow, felony, treason, TARD and sovereign bankruptcy) wanted to shove her down our throats.

She claimed, (admittedly a liar), that she wanted to keep the country on the current very destructive path Obamaprompter established.

Dumpster fer all his faults can't be bought or scared off by anyone, (IMHO) and convinced me he really wants to change Washington DC and make things better for this country.

I do agree he is very high risk, butt: he may work out very well, (if given a chance), she, (yer crooked Queen), woulda kept us in the terlet and the rule of law would have been over.

We are all very fortunate she lost, and the Republic has a chance to recover from the assault suffered over the last 8 years.

I appreciate the thoughtful response. This is actually what I was looking for in starting the thread. At the very least, it's fairly well-reasoned, and I understand some of it to an extent.

I just think there are levels of acceptability for each side. I had no problem at all w/ Bush Sr., though of course I hated to see Dems lose that election. That was not a difficult adjustment. Bush the younger was a somewhat different story - but even w/ how close that election was, I still had a level of acceptance that I'd call normal. And I never doubted that Bush wanted what was best for the country - I just disagreed w/ him on what that was.

Trump crosses that threshold, and by your posts on here and what I'm hearing nationally, a lot of conservatives really get that. For many, the vote for him didn't go beyond the fact that he was the "not Hillary." Can you even think of a candidate who inspired dismay and criticism from so many in their own party? And let's not pretend that too much of that is an "anti-establishment" thing. He's just a bad guy.

At minimum, he has lowered the bar for the kind of person we want as POTUS, on either side. I don't see how anyone could really argue that. I get why people voted for him, but I think there is a lot of rationalization and glossing over of his more extreme quirks and characteristics.

If you really ponder the matter BJ Clinton lowered the bar fer all dim wit Democrat POTUS(s) by committing two felonies while in office, (n' the dim wits circled their wagons n' made felony a virtue fer any dim wit Democrat pol).

Yer crooked Queen tried to take the dim wit Democrat's acceptance of felony in any dim wit Democrat POTUS to a new level, thankfully she lost, butt: you dim wit Democrats very clearly love a corrupt POTUS.

Thingy has heard these same sentiments over and over and over again.....the same things in hundreds of different words.....and suddenly he thinks at least one post is
a 'thoughtful response'.....
but comments that the right is guilty of rationalization and glossing over of Trumps (alleged) more extreme quirks and characteristics.

Clinton impeachment ?....what group rationalized about his perjury and obstruction of justice and sexual harassment then, and still does even after his confession ?

Then Hillary and this election ?....Comeys testimony, the CONTENT of the hacked DNC emails, extreme carelessness with classified data, the pay for play, money from foreign
governments, the lies, etc.....what group rationalized about all of this facts, not opinions or assumptions, but facts.

Yes, Trump is different....not in the Washington elite, not one of the gang, not a politician, not responsible for any enacted laws, regulations, tax policy, foreign policy, and has no
record in government to grade him....
What is he ? A businessman, rich, has a wife and family, etc, and in more ways than not, just like the rest of us.
....any other adjectives you tie to him are opinions and assumptions coined mostly by those that dislike him,and a proven dishonest media......he is an unknown entity in the political world.
