what's the percentage?......is that 100% of the contracts he's been involved in?.......or .00001%......is it significant or insignificant?......how many millions of people have had business dealings with him in the last 40 years?.....did anyone ever win any of the 3,500 law suits?......so many questions are never answered......

They seem like serious relevant questions to me. Of course you aren't really interested in a serious, substantive discussion. You are only interested in trying to tear down Trump and justify your reasons for hating him.

Let me help you out. The real reason you hate Trump is because you are mad at how wrong you got the election. You never once for one single second seriously contemplated that Trump could win. You were 1000% sure that Hillary would be victorious. You are so self assured of your own moral superiority and intelligence that you think that ALL intelligent people think like you. Actually, it's much more simple than that. Trump is a fraud & a con man. He's a classic narcissist, and (forgive the cliche) a bully.

That conservatives are so willing to overlook his flaws & lunacy is beyond me. It used to be that "role model" was something they valued in a President. No more.

Some people here are confused, "winning" is not the same thing as good or correct. Often the worst base instinct ends up "winning" because they are the most ruthless. When it comes to being president that means the worst choice wins, because he was willing to compromise more moral principals than the other guy. This is not always true, but it happens all the time in all walks of life.

Additionally, I did not see the same people who love trump for being a "Winner" flock to Obama for being a "Winner".

Obama was a political newcomer, he beat HRC for the Nomination, then won the presidency and a second term. He got healthcare passed something presidents such as Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, Clinton, FDR and others tried but failed to get accomplished. By the measure you are calling Trump a "Winner" on, Obama is certainly a "Winner". Therefore, using your measure.... Those who are smitten by Trump for being a "winner" should have been in LOVE with Obama, but they were not.

As Grind so brilliantly pointed out you are living in this faux reality you have created for yourself. Is he a fraud and con man? That is your opinion. If people know what they are getting then he is not perpetrating a fraud now is he? Is he a narcissist? Fuck yeah he is a narcissist. We are all very fortunate she lost, and the Republic has a chance to recover from the assault suffered over the last 8 years.

I appreciate the thoughtful response. This is actually what I was looking for in starting the thread. At the very least, it's fairly well-reasoned, and I understand some of it to an extent.

I just think there are levels of acceptability for each side. I had no problem at all w/ Bush Sr., though of course I hated to see Dems lose that election. That was not a difficult adjustment. Bush the younger was a somewhat different story - but even w/ how close that election was, I still had a level of acceptance that I'd call normal. And I never doubted that Bush wanted what was best for the country - I just disagreed w/ him on what that was.

Trump crosses that threshold, and by your posts on here and what I'm hearing nationally, a lot of conservatives really get that. For many, the vote for him didn't go beyond the fact that he was the "not Hillary." Can you even think of a candidate who inspired dismay and criticism from so many in their own party? And let's not pretend that too much of that is an "anti-establishment" thing. He's just a bad guy.

At minimum, he has lowered the bar for the kind of person we want as POTUS, on either side. I don't see how anyone could really argue that. I get why people voted for him, but I think there is a lot of rationalization and glossing over of his more extreme quirks and characteristics.

Thingy has heard these same sentiments over and over and over again.....the same things in hundreds of different words.....and suddenly he thinks at least one post is
a 'thoughtful response'.....
but comments that the right is guilty of rationalization and glossing over of Trumps (alleged) more extreme quirks and characteristics.

Clinton impeachment ?....what group rationalized about his perjury and obstruction of justice and sexual harassment then, and still does even after his confession ?

Then Hillary and this election ?....Comeys testimony, the CONTENT of the hacked DNC emails, extreme carelessness with classified data, the pay for play, money from foreign
