Trump’s Policies Have Shaken a Once-Solid Economic Outlook

I'm all for running a tight budget. But in the scheme of things - it really doesn't make a mathematical difference in terms of the debt.

The debt will just keep growing, regardless. Like, no matter what.
In this, I happen to agree with you. But you are lying when say you are all for running a tight budget.

Trump is obviously trying to make enemies of NATO, Canada, Mexico, while groveling to get Putin to like him.
NATO is not a nation, Sybil.
Canada caused it's own problems. Same with Mexico (which is doing better than Canada right now!).
Putin is a socialist, Sybil, like YOU. Trump is a capitalist.

Trump’s Policies Have Shaken a Once-Solid Economic Outlook

Economic forecasts have deteriorated in recent weeks, reflecting the upheaval from federal layoffs, tariff moves and immigration roundups.

President Trump inherited an economy that was, by most conventional measures, firing on all cylinders. Wages, consumer spending and corporate profits were rising. Unemployment was low. The inflation rate, though higher than normal, was falling.

Just weeks into Mr. Trump’s term, the outlook is gloomier. Measures of business and consumer confidence have plunged. The stock market has been on a roller-coaster ride. Layoffs are picking up, according to some data. And forecasters are cutting their estimates for economic growth this year, with some even predicting that the U.S. gross domestic product could shrink in the first quarter.

Yep, because he's an impulsive, mafia-boss wannabe, moron who has no understanding about how and from where drugs get into the US.

Trump has ADD, attention deficit disorder....he thrives on chaos, is bored with sound working economies and loves to disrupt things. He treats this nation and our allies like play toys, could care less its effects on people or countries....when we realize this, we'll be okay and stop panicking when the moron takes out his toys because he's bored, then we'll be ok
Your psychoquackery won't work, Red. TDS.

They come from Canada and Mexico, and also drug making 'kits' come through both as well. Trump is not a member of the Mafia. He's doesn't even have Italian heritage!

If we're talking about fentanyl, Canada is the least of our concern, not that Benito Cheeto cares about details or facts.

How much U.S. illicit fentanyl supply comes from Canada, China, and Mexico?
Mexico
Mexico is a major recipient of precursor chemicals used as ingredients for fentanyl via illicit networks set up by cartels. The cartels, after manufacturing the drug, then often hire U.S. citizens to smuggle it across the border. Due to fentanyl’s potency, it is much easier to smuggle undetected as only a small amount is necessary to transport. Mexico has been the main source of fentanyl into the United States: nearly all of the 21,900 pounds that U.S. law enforcement seized last year was at the southern border while only 43 pounds of fentanyl was seized at the Canadian border, according to U.S. data.

If we're talking about all drugs, guess what..... he's still blaming the wrong people.

  • 83.6% of individuals sentenced for drug trafficking were men.
  • 43.5% were Hispanic, 27.6% were Black, 25.8% were White, and 3.0% were Other races.
  • Their average age was 38 years.
  • 81.9% were United States citizens.
  • 42.5% had little or no prior criminal history (Criminal History Category I); 5.6% were career offenders.

Almost all of it. The rest arrives as a drug making 'kit'.

Canada has them too.

Irrelevance fallacy.

Most of it is coming through the southern border, yet Trump, in his infinite stupidity, is starting a trade war with Canada over basically nothing.
Irrelevance fallacy.
It's not irrelevant. It's THE most relevant detail. If these are US citizens bringing the drugs across the border, then it's US Customs' job to stop them. Mexico doesn't inspect US cars on the way out of the Mexico any more than the US inspects cars going IN to Mexico.

I have pointed out the numbers involved.

Since you believe it can be done, could you please explain how?
Growing the economy, cheap energy, fair trade, preventative Health practices, lowering the Fed rate, secure border, avoiding war, and DOGE.

Stop borrowing from banks. Lincoln's Greenbacks were the first U.S. fiat currency and they were interest free. Maybe even gov't crypto mining.
