At the end of the day politics is about one thing, winning. We can all have elements of principle (some more than others) but to be deep into the game of politics means willing to sell your soul a bit and acknowledging the inherent hypocrisies we accept. The rhetoric we use to try and define ourselves, and our opponents, is all part of the game.

Long winded way of saying people are free to choose to vote and support what they choose.

Many of the most successful people in the world have failed at some point, some multiple times, but they often have a vision which allows them to ultimately find success. To your point, yes, nothing ventured nothing gained.

That said, I wouldn't bet your retirement money on Liz Cheney being some revolutionary.

As an aside, don’t you have some Minnesota roots? We play you today. I’ve actually never been to the state so gave going to the game some thought but ultimately (sadly) made the economic choice not too. (Champagne tastes, beer budget)

I think this is intellectually lazy. Any comparisons go out the window when it comes to Trump. What we're seeing w/ Trump is that people from every angle of the political spectrum are coming out and talking about how much of a threat he represents to democracy.

Your argument seems to be that it's Dems embracing neocons, or something. Do you think Trump is like any other candidate?
