A weight tax, or helath insurance / life insurance rates based on weight. Life insurance rates are already based on smoking or non smoking.

The idiots here in KY are talking about funding poor childrens health care with another $1 tax/pack on cigs. so when people stop buyng cigs the children suffer....

It's very easy to convince voters that someone other than them should be taxed more heavily to pay for excess in government.

my wife and i are landlords and will not rent to smokers because

we would not only have to repaint the entire interior, but

replace the window treatments

replace the rugs

have the entire air circulation system cleaned

replace all surfaces where cigarettes burned

pay a higher landlords insurance policy

we have yet to have a smoker apply that would pay for the above
