Socialism is when the government owns the hospitals and clinics and employs doctors, nurses technicians etc.

Actually my old friend, everything in America is tainted by socialism. Government is socialism by definition. the only question is the "DEGREE" of socialism in a particular country and how it's regulated to interact with freedom and capitalism. All evidence shows that the greater the government regulated socialism, the greater the corruption, incompetence, complacency and misery and the lesser the freedom, competence and motivation. "PROFIT" is the power of economic greatness and happiness and there's no such thing as a FREE anything.
