Universal Healthcare

I'm a value to my employer who provides what they do as part of it having been earned. That's quite different from the freeloaders that do nothing but demand the same thing. They'd do society a favor if they'd simply go away.

Enjoy your fictional reality hon, you're a fraud. A deadbeat. A loser. A drain on society.

You're a cuck to your employer who passes the cost of your handout healthcare onto the employer's customer/consumer base, i.e., the public.

It already does in every other advanced post-industrial nation on the planet. You may want to do a little due diligence and see how your system stacks up.

A year ago him and others like him would have taken a shot on debating universal health care. That's now changed. They now only have their hate for others and that can't stop the freight train that's barreling down the tracks straight at them.

It's a done deal and the only interesting part to come is to see the violence they cause as it all happens.

What a privilege to be finally able to ram it up their collective asses!

They never understood cost shifting either.. They just get so emotional.

I'm not convinced universal healthcare is a done deal at all. Only time the Dems mouth sounds similar is when they're out of power. The minute Gillum looked hot down in FL, Corey Booker went down there and got Gillum's head right on single payer. And it got dropped from Gillum's campaign pitch instantly. The Dems will not really get behind single payer without serious protracted pressure from the people, and we simply have yet to rise to the occasion.

The incredible lobbying pressure of PHRM, hospitals, and doctors make universal coverage a very tough fight. They can move congressman and Senators at will.

Yeah, I get what you and Nordberg are saying and it's consistent with Chris Hedges message too, but the Dems have fought the good fight now and they aren't going to be able to turn their back on the momentum. It's now the biggest political issue in the US and if the Dems fuk around dragging their feet then the few honourable ones like Booker will blow the whistle.

I'm pretty sure it's a freight train that can't be stopped.

But as it happens, as I suspect it has to, you've brought to mind some of the consequences for big business and that's something to think about!

No doubt though, for profit health care is one of the biggest big money clusterfuks the US has going!

They can move senators and congressmen at will as long as they can play the people against them. But they will run into the will of the people because it's so damn obvious that it's needed so badly.

Even the most stooopud know what's good for them. And look now how the Repubs have had to get on board with the pre-existing issue to save their hides!

FDR wanted universal healthcare but it was not the time after starting Social Security. He was ceratin we would solve our healthcare problem pretty soon after he was gone. But of course he did know how pissed off the corporate heads and wealthy were. They merely tried to organize a revolt and overthrow the government. They tried to get Gen Smedley Butler to head the overthrow army. https://www.npr.org/2012/02/12/145472726/when-the-bankers-plotted-to-overthrow-fdr Butler squealed nd the trial was behind closed doors . The plotters were not punished and the people were not told.

This isn't about you, it's about your hate and bad feeling for others.

It's about whether a claim you make will work as you claim.

It's about whether or not bleeding hearts like you will provide for those to which you state care and do it with YOUR money instead of demanding others be forced to do it.

So there are other countries with 325 million people where it works?

MY system stacks up fine for ME and MY family. Since you, yours, nor anyone else's family are my responsibility, I don't give a shit if it works for you.

They never understood cost shifting either.. They just get so emotional.

A solution has bee proposed for the cost shifting that occurs. If you can't pay for the care you receive or one of you bleeding hearts that claims to care for those without coverage refuses to pay on their behalf, go without. That way there is no cost shifting since there are no costs to shift.

Hey Numbskull. Socialism is where everyone works for the government, and every dime everyone makes comes from the government!

Has nothing to do with social safety net programs for taxpayers who vote for them in a Free Enterprise economy! !

And they're called "SOCIAL" programs because???????

How so? Have you any examples? I'd love to see them.

Trump has a 40 year history of screwing contractors, vendors, employees, lawyers, bankers, investors and wives.. Its all well documented to include 3500 law suits and depositions where he usually took the fifth or said he didn't remember in thousands of depositions.

Universal healthcare is the only answer. It is much cheaper and, covers everyone. It works fine in other countries, while our system is broken and unfair. We could eliminate the VA, Medicare, Medicaid and the cost we pay for insurance now. If you believe in capitalism, it removes providing healthcare by companies. Theoretically, making them more competitive. It would be nice to know that an accident or illness will not bankrupt your family. Good to know that you can change jobs without being terrified by being uncovered for the waiting period. You can take a shot at starting your own business without going without healthcare while you are trying,. It is a much more civilized way to live.

YEAH!!!!! And Americans can all go to Mexico for critical operations to keep from dying on the National American Waiting List, right old buddy????? We got a government 21 trillion $ in debt and the military protector of the entire free world costing trillions more and you want National Socialized Healthcare that will cost 35 trillion $ more. What school of economics did you graduate from old pal? Europe "affords" socialized medicine because we pay for their national defense We provide more loot to NATO operations than all of the rest of NATO members combined and they don't even pay the dues they promised to pay when NATO was originated. So, how do you suppose all of those facts will work out for America?
