APP - Veterans for Trump

Some excellent comments from a military leader.

'Gen. McChrystal Endorses Joe Biden For President'

“I heard him stumbling on trying to remember my husband’s name. And that what’s hurting me the most. Because if my husband was out here fighting for our country, and he risked his life for our country, why can’t you remember his name?” Talking to Trump about her fallen husband, Myeshia Johnson said, “made me upset and cry even more.”

I hear that the smart ones have said that anyone who votes fer that Biden fella must suck aiggs and howl at da moon!

I hope that none of my fellow vets still support this egregious fool Trump.

I have had the great fortune to see some of Bud's friends apologize to him because he served and they took exemptions. Those men are still his very good friends to this day.

I do not understand veterans supporting the Republican party. Trump's campaign has already shown how they will treat vets, they delayed handing out the charity checks, they will be ineffective in getting the Republicans to do anything for the vets.

If Trump is President we may see lawsuits against Congress triple. :)
There's two things here: support for the Republican party and support for Trump. They are not the same thing.

Additionally, in a nation where "voting for the lesser evil" are the main two choices, Veterans often consider the Republican party the lesser evil.

I have to disagree, neither are evil although each has its good and bad. But the republican party has been bought by money and the reader will come to understand that if they do some investigation. A hard question though is who reads today given the dominance of social media.

SCOTUS too

"Few American institutions have inflicted greater suffering on ordinary people than the Supreme Court of the United States. Since its inception, the justices of the Supreme Court have shaped a nation where children toiled in coal mines, where Americans could be forced into camps because of their race, and where a woman could be sterilized against her will by state law. Thanks for the book titles. Proves nothing. Junior wrote a book too. None of it proves one is better or less evil than the other or why Vets lean right.

I hope you take offence and think a moment before posting such lame nonsense. Content and quality doesn't count! Donald Jr is so stupid the CIA came to the conclusion he wasn't smart enough to conspire with the Russians. And even this nonsense was most likely not written by him. Read smart stuff my friend and you too shall see. Of course you are free too to remain in your mental closet. Start with 'Invisible Hands'. Good luck.

The draft dodger and con-artist will soon be gone thank God, bravo America, bravo.

"Some day there is going to be a man sitting in my present chair who has not been raised in the military services and who will have little understanding of where slashes in their estimates can be made with little or no damage. If that should happen while we still have the state of tension that now exists in the world, I shudder to think of what could happen in this country." Dwight D. Eisenhower

All my fellow vets have a great day, every day.

"Honor to the soldier and sailor everywhere, who bravely bears his country’s cause. Honor, also, to the citizen who cares for his brother in the field and serves, as he best can, the same cause." Abraham Lincoln

""We cannot walk alone," the preacher cried. "And as we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead. We cannot turn back." America, we cannot turn back. Not with so much work to be done. Not with so many children to educate, and so many veterans to care for. Not with an economy to fix and cities to rebuild and farms to save. Not with so many families to protect and so many lives to mend. America, we cannot turn back. We cannot walk alone. At this moment, in this election, we must pledge once more to march into the future. Let us keep that promise - that American promise - and in the words of Scripture hold firmly, without wavering, to the hope that we confess." Barack Obama

Most vets I know voted for Biden, eight to two in our close family.

"The real Trump buried himself in blunders and couldn’t deliver on campaign promises to voters. Instead of saving manufacturing jobs and protecting, as he pledged, “the jobs, wages and well being of American workers before any other consideration”, the Trump administration eliminated paid overtime rules, created tax cuts for the rich and lost 740,000 manufacturing positions this year alone."

Not true for everyone...

In what way is he just a figurehead?? Who is the real power behind the cheap glitzy thrown??

Agreed not true for everyone.

You know Executive powers are defined by the Constitution, but the real power lies with Congress, as it should. If Congress wusses out and punts to the White House then we should collectively start electing better people to Congress.

Trump plays a spoiled rich boy's game with legislation, all things are about him, they never approach real human awareness or concern for another. Narcissism is a poor and dangerous trait in a leader.

"It’s a rich boy’s privilege to see the poor and downtrodden as pawns in a political game rather than as individual people in desperate need. The idea that Donald Trump actually cares about the [military] financial realities Americans face is ludicrous. Now that he is on his way out, it’s increasingly obvious he’s only loyal to himself."

President Trump kept America out of war for four years.

Your boy Biden will have Americans back in harm's way within a year.

The military industrial complex is a big special interest for you leftists.

And he also brought back thousands of American troops back home from foreign countries.

He's the best friend the military and veterans ever had.

He rebuilt the VA and made veterans tap private doctors and hospitals so they wouldn't have to stand in line for treatment.

I'm not surprised that he vetoed the defense bill. Let's hope that congress overrides it.

Trump's last days in office are like a circus show no offense meant to circuses.

'Military Veterans to Legal Experts Condemn Trump’s Pardoning of Blackwater War Criminals'

https://www.counterpunch.org/2021/0...trumps-pardoning-of-blackwater-war-criminals/

"If these outrageous acts of clemency were not revolting enough, on December 22 Trump further cemented his legacy as a malignant narcissist and amoral gangster, one who possesses a deep disdain for the Constitution and international law, by pardoning four convicted U.S. war criminals responsible for massacring unarmed Iraqi civilians."

Personally I'm not surprised some in the military lean towards conspiracy thinking. And I still laugh over conversations I had with soldiers from the deep south. Many joined the military to escape the back road world and see the world. Education and reading weren't their thing, complexity puzzles many and conspiracy offers easy solutions. Kinda like the big guy in the sky throwing switches. You know the image. Complexity requires reason, reasons can be hard.

Media too is responsible as they could have covered Trump more honestly given his history of lying cheating and worse. See this book for a honest view of Trump and family. Read it read it read it.
