Anyway, I think that such lectures from a man who has done what he did would be met with sardonic laughter. It would have been from me when I was a HS student.

Almost all the youth that I have heard speak on this were making jokes about him and his actions. I think they too would have a hard time keeping the snot from striking their hands as they tried to hold in the outright and direct laughter it would provoke to have him telling them to treat animals well.

Obviously we don't talk to the same set of youth. If the youths you talk to can only listen to perfect people, they aren't hearing much.

The set of youth I talk to would benefit from listening to Vick. In fact, much of the south could benefit because that's where dog fighting is popular.

OH PLEASE letting him out is asking him to kill someone or do something to someone as people who abuse animals are 5x more likely to commit crimes against people.... and the abuses he committed certainly add to the feesability.

well everyone that i talk to hate the guy. i know this b/c ill wear a shirt that i got on cafe press that says 'neuter vick' and i get props by people all the time for it...

Yes. And amazingly we can speak on more than one subject at a time. It's always sad when people try to use this tactic as if people are unable to speak on anything except whatever issue they think we should be talking about. It's plain rubbish.

Whenever did I say that he must be perfect? This is a strawman. He must be somewhat credible to make any difference. To have one of the worst violators of humane treatment laws speak on how important it is to treat animals well is simply something to laugh about. Maybe after he serves his time, shows some actual repentance, pays his dues. But now? Hayul no!

Sure on here, where individuals get to post whatever they want, I am really talking about the fact that its barely being discussed on the media. And that our elected officials are doing nuthing about it!

They are serving their time, but they don't speak to the benefit to society of not doing the crime. Scared Straight programs use "Prison is bad and you don't want to be here." now "Boy you should treat animals good... like I did!"

And they talk about their crimes .. in fact, many who've committed rape talk about prevention to women's groups, ex-drug users, sellers, and distributers talk about the evils of drugs to all manner of public interest groups.
