Culturing novel viruses are notoriously difficult, so it would be difficult to know whether you were just not doing it correctly, or whether it is not viable. Then there is an additional question over whether it is still contagious.

I don’t think you know a whole lot about what you’re talking about. COVID is a *respiratory virus* from the same family as the common cold virus.

The only thing really ‘special’ about COVID19 is that it triggers a run away immune response in *some individuals* while the rest are either mildly affected or totally asymptomatic. Ignorance about the how’s/why’s of the immune response, at this point, is excusable.

Routes of transmission, survival rate on hard surfaces—not so much.
