Have you contemplated the significance of this? Asymptomatic transmission turning out to be extremely rare means we now have 100% rock solid proof that the "experts" were wildly wrong for approximately the billionth time...to the cost of 6 trillion dollars, as well as the lives, constitutional rights, and well-being of millions of innocent Americans...all so we could impose martial law over the sniffles, based on literally nothing. Transmission through surfaces also turned out to be a blatant falsehood:
"At the outset of the pandemic, reports said that COVID-19 could spread through surfaces on which it could live for up to nine days. Last month, the CDC updated that statement to indicate that transmission of the virus on surfaces is also rare."

Asymptomatic transmission and transmission from contaminated surfaces were the entire basis of every incredibly disruptive intrusion into our lives and all the upheaval forced onto our economy, and it was all completely unnecessary garbage from more "experts" with no idea what they were talking about...or with BS agendas. Again, it was a scaremongering hoax from the beginning, as I said from the outset.
I don't expect any apologies from the Demagogue Party hacks who crucified me for noticing all the gaping holes in this latest "sky is falling" scam of theirs...doing so would make them something OTHER THAN the anti-science book-burning cult I know them to be. But that's not going to stop me from pointing out that I was proven right for the umpteenth time, while you made complete and utter asses of yourselves yet again.

A significant number of those dead did not die from this disease. But from complications associated with it. In other words, they were already in a vulnerable position from OTHER diseases and health issues.
I really wish we could get an HONEST number of those who died as a direct result of this disease.

Some died from the Cytokine Storm—probably most, actually. The irony is these people died as a result of their own immune system causing blood clots and major organ damage—COVID served as a trigger.
Some frail nursing home residents died from straight-up viral [COVID] pneumonia. A significant number of them were end-stage Alzheimer’s victims; people with marginally functional kidneys and etc.
Some died from inappropriate intubation: it took a minute for practitioners to realize what was going on with that. And it didn’t help matters that both WHO and the CDC guidelines went *against* immunotherapy in favor of intubation for severe COVID infections. That’s a little-discussed outrage.
And that’s not getting into the ‘died with COVID’ aspect.
How many people did COVID actually kill?
It’s complicated.
One thing...the experts needed to figure out just one thing to save a huge chunk of those who have died.... but as per usual they could not or at least did not manage.
We are so screwed.
You do realize that just making stuff up out of thin air and asserting it doesn't magically make reality somehow conform to your wishful thinking, right?
Four problems with your "make up whatever I feel like" bullshit here:
1) The timeline DOES in fact show that science only declined the more government got involved.
2) The 40+ humiliated global warming doomsday predictions that we have on record occurred over DECADES. What "Republican defunding" cause DECADES of Democrats discrediting themselves on basic science facts? Please, by all means, be specific.
3) The decline of science, as shown by Democrats embarrassingly insisting that you are somehow born with sexual preferences yet choose your gender, for example, has everything to do with radical ideologue propaganda and nothing at all to do with funding. The same is true for their cult-like faith in all things "organic," them being proven wrong on literally EVERY PART of the COVID hoax, their peddling of debunked "recovered memory" pseudo-science, and their absurd insistence that life begins whenever a mother's feelings decide it does.
Democrats are AT WAR with science, dumb-ass.
4) Democrats always blame government policy disasters on "not enough government." Like them blaming the atrocious performance of Washington, D.C. schools on funding, when they are actually the most over-funded in the country...while still performing at rock bottom.
Hint: It's not about funding. That's just an excuse for why government always turns out an inferior product.

Well, COVID is a novel virus so there’s going to be a learning curve.
Assuming, COVID doesn’t revert back to a less virulent form and there’s a Round 2, we shouldn’t lose as many people.
If for no other reason we know not to send them back to the damn nursing home. It’s probably safe to say the ‘panic’ has peaked.
Some people learn faster than others....the whole point of being an expert was the expectation that at least when they had to produce they would be able to produce.

Almost all of that wildly inflated number is from elderly people with pre-existing conditions reacting the way they would have reacted to ANY common cold or flu virus...by dying.
