Most people outside of Anchorage hunt and fish for food...and a lot of people hunt for food in the lower 48 also...you are a idiot..

why you see a difference if it's in Alaska or the lower 48, as you like to say I don't know....but a lot of people in the LOWER 48 hunt for FOOD my dear..and I didn't see you asking that of me, but I'll answer your question anyway...not seeing your point here, but...

and I wasn't ranting, I was pointing out some facts to someone who seems clueless about Alaska..

LOL, Yeah but it would be cheaper for many/most of them to buy the meat at the store. A 4 $10,000 wheeler, $300 rifle, $300 camos, $75 deer stand. I week trip a state or so a way to hunt. Liscence, tag , etc...

Wind up with about 150 lbs of dressed out meat after paying someone else to butcher it.

Hunting is not an economical way for most to get meat.

Ohh and I forgot $350 to get the head stuffed and mounted.

and if you're hunting bear, don't forget the tanning of the hide for a bear skin rug..:cool:

I do not hunt. I own Guns but no camos, deer stand, etc.
I do not like to eat most wild game. Now if we had a cow hunting season.
I do fish and like to eat the fish I catch.

You do not undertand the Macho rite of passage thing about killing a deer to prove your manhood. Which to many is apparently pretty weak and requires annual refreshers.

During hunting season I am the only person around here not wearing camos. Including the women and children.
Country fashion I suppose.

I just do not enjoy killing anything. Except maybe mosquitoes.
I do kill stray dogs chasing my cattle, Racoons messing up trash and such, etc.
But I feel remorse each time. No enjoyment.
Just not a maco man I suppose.


And I used to hunt and kill humans....
