Want a Job? Get a Shot!

actually, I would say that. i've never went to college, but I am also in the top 10% of my field due to my experience.................
Nor did I, but this is horrendous.

Every day of the year, thousands of people are passed over for employment solely because they have no degree. There is no law against it.

in most circumstances that i've had this happen, i always got the last laugh as they had to spend the first year training those inexperienced idiots how to do the job

Agree. I know plenty of people with decades of experience, but no degree. They get passed over for jobs that they are more than qualified to do.

First year? I was still learning after almost 40 years in the machining industry. As one of the old machinists (machinist's mate in WWII) told me, you can spend your lifetime doing this and you still won't know it all.

there's a difference between being trained by another individual and learning new things about your job. yes, i still learn new things everyday about my job, but that learning comes from my own study and experience, not being shown by someone else

I learned from both. I learned from those who knew and used that knowledge to further figure out things I didn't. I made fixtures to make things the machine wasn't designed to make. I made prototypes. I made things the other machinists said better you than me. It's why I became their boss.

As is often the case, we first learn how NOT to do something. I usually find amazing tricks quite by accident.

These would be the same places with 'masks not required' signs. Typically in Fla./Texas

That limits the customer base. If you say your staff is all vaccinated. a mask denier and reasonable patriotic people could both go there freely. Masks not required will make a smart person shop elsewhere.

I would shop elsewhere because the moron running the store is obviously making a political statement. They don't deserve my money.
