That sums up the left wing mentality nicely. 'I know thousands of houses are burning and people are dying, but you can't expect us to reduce the longevity of our equipment, can you'? Sounds like something the morons in power would say. I wonder how the residents of LA will like that explanation. I have a guess.

They tried it under Arnold. The aircraft all started failing. It was a disaster. Right as the Anaheim Hills were burning close to my house.
