We can't afford NOT TO do single payer health care

The civilized world has socialized medicine.

What little manufacturing we have has to compete with foreign companies that don't have to directly pay for employee heath insurance
because of national healthcare.

By the way, to slightly change the subject, in my union represented job, I paid 0% of my health insurance costs.
And in retirement, I still get significant contribution to my Medicare supplemental...but unions suck from what I'm told.

Unions do suck, they represent less than 5% of the workforce. They are for lazy fucks that are afraid to be graded on their contribution

You're obviously dumb enough to believe in "meritocracy," Hawk, but there's no way I'm at fault for that.
More than likely, I've never even met your mom.

You sound like a union hack so definitely being paid on merit is not in your strong suit. That's why you need a union to cover your incompetence.

Right, which is why I want to get rid of them and replace them with Medicare for All.

Insurance companies do nothing to improve or enhance the care your doctor provides; they are not in the exam room, they do not run the tests, they do not prescribe treatment...they merely stand in between you and your doctor and come up with excuses for why they can't pay the claim.

But we know the reason why...paying the claim cuts into their bottom line, and the goal of every single insurance company is to make the highest profit possible.

A M4A system has no profit motive so there is no reason to deny care at all.

medicare/medicaid is nothing more than a government regulatory scheme implementing health insurance............it would have the same, if not worse, negative effect as private health insurance.

Hawk and Yak
are what the devolved, sub-human mutants of America
are spawning like so many horny rodents today.

If we allow it continue, they represent the America of the near future.
The so-called "third world" will in that case have a "fourth world" on which to look down.
Good job, America.

It's amazing that this is still a debate in the US. And as usual, it's lower income conservatives who would benefit from M4A who are opposed to it. They really are so brainwashed by their corporate overlords and wealthy individuals that they argue against their own self interest. Different day, same story.

Your response my be national level is different than state level but I can speak to what's happening in California. There's been a big push for M4A in California and go look at Newsom's rhetoric when he ran for re-election a year or two ago, he was all in. Fast forward to today. (Reminder that Democrats have a super majority in California so they can pass legislation without a single Republican vote.)

They can't even get a vote in the assembly on a M4A bill now. And Newsom has done nothing to push for one after all his rhetoric on the campaign trail.

There's a reason California gets so much national attention because as they say 'as goes California so goes the nation'. Well if M4A can't even get a vote in the assembly here, how realistic is it to expect one nationally?

Uh oh someone's butt hurt their incompetence has been uncovered. The last thing imbeciles want is to be paid on their merit. Unions
protect the leeches. Thats you nifty dicklick.

Who said you're lying? LV's question is relevant. Do you pay more or less for health insurance than you would pay under Sanders's plan?

you aren't new here - yet you act like you are not aware of the troll like debate methods of lvdouche

he is a clown and does not get any respect for civil debate - I tried that many times but never again

as for Sanders plan - he would kill medical innovation - the dipshit hates profits - but people risk time, talent, and treasure for profits

you should actually talk to the doctors to find out why that is...because I have and the answer is not what you would think it is.

We know what the reason is...a health care system focused on profit margins, not patient outcomes.

Insurance companies, most provider networks, and pharmaceutical companies don't make money curing patients, they make money treating symptoms because that's what leads to the highest profits.

Why cure a disease once when you can charge someone weekly, monthly, or annually for treatment for the rest of their life?

so your premise in single payer is to eliminate profits from doctors, nurses, med techs, hospitals, etc????? that sounds like a perfect plan to destroy medical care in the country.

Meidcare for all is insurance. It's just changing who runs the insurance company.

It also changes the goal because under a M4A system, the goal isn't to make a profit...the goal is to improve patient outcomes which isn't the goal of our current system.

"Why cure a disease once when you can charge someone weekly, monthly, or annually for treatment for the rest of their life?"

here is the hypocrisy and retarded thinking of the moron left today - they actually say and think the above, but would never be concerned with the below:

"Why enable a person to be independent when they can be a subservient of government for the rest of their life."
