Best thing the Democrats can do is to put the notion of impeachment as far on the back burner as possible...and they should move it forward ONLY WHEN SOME REPUBLICANS EXPRESS A DESIRE TO CONSIDER IT.

There are bigger fish to fry right now.

Impeaching Trump on a strict party line vote would be a disaster for the Democrats and for the Republic. And since there is absolutely no way for him to be convicted if the impeachment is party line...it would be an horrendous symbolic gesture.

The Republicans have got to step up to the plate first...no matter how much impeachment is warranted.

Frankly, I don't think there are any Republicans left with the spine to do the right thing...no matter what the investigations come up with.
