What is a Christian Zionist?

The map accompanying UN resolution 181- ' The Partition Resolution ' is the legal record of the borders of Palestine and the agreed Jewish homeland.
Everything that is colored is considered Palestine and Jews weren't indigenous to any of that area?

The Jewish population of Palestine was far smaller than that of the Arabs. On that basis, the partition was extremely unfair. Small wonder that the Arab world was aghast at the decision of the UN.
Nevertheless, the Resolution passed and the borders became fixed. They could be legally changed only by negotiation.
The Jews took no notice of that.

What is a Christian Zionist? Is there really such a thing or are we talking about Bigfoot's brother in Qanon?

I'd say it is the folks that believe that Jesus will return when specific events happen.

Christian Zionists believe several criteria must be fulfilled before the return of Jesus, based on their interpretation of biblical prophecy, particularly from the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation. These criteria often include:

  1. Reestablishment of Israel: The reestablishment of the Jewish state in 1948 is seen as a key fulfillment of prophecy (e.g., Ezekiel 36-37). They view the modern state of Israel as the restoration of biblical Israel, a prerequisite for end-times events.
  2. Jewish Return to Israel: The ingathering of Jews from the diaspora to Israel (aliyah) is considered a sign of the end times, fulfilling prophecies like Isaiah 11:11-12.
  3. Rebuilding of the Third Temple: Many believe a third Jewish temple must be rebuilt on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15). This often implies the removal or sharing of the current Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
  4. Rise of the Antichrist: A charismatic world leader (the Antichrist) is expected to emerge, making a covenant with Israel but later betraying it (Daniel 9:27, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
  5. The Great Tribulation: A seven-year period of global chaos, war, and persecution, often tied to the Antichrist’s rule and events like the "abomination of desolation" in the temple (Matthew 24:21, Revelation 7:14).
  6. Battle of Armageddon: A final global conflict centered in Israel, where nations gather against Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2, Revelation 16:16), leading to Jesus’ return to defeat evil forces.
  7. Conversion of the Jews: Some believe a significant number of Jews will recognize Jesus as the Messiah before or during His return (Romans 11:25-26).
  8. Global Evangelization: The gospel must be preached to all nations (Matthew 24:14) before the end comes.

These beliefs vary among Christian Zionist groups, with some emphasizing certain events more than others. Dispensationalists, a prominent subgroup, often stress a literal interpretation of these prophecies and a pre-tribulation rapture, where believers are taken to heaven before the tribulation begins. Others may hold different views on the timing or specifics.

Unfair how? Arabs weren't banned from the area that became Israel.

They should have agreed to the original UN offer. They'd have way more land. Instead they refused every single offer of a 2 state solution so they can instead insist that Jews be pushed "into the sea"... Also, you should ask Jordan to give back Transjordan... Maybe you wouldn't be whining about the land acquisition..

I did not come up with the Book of Revelation, Rapture, or any of these things. I do not believe in them either.
I already know, Wally. You're loss.
Many, but not all, Christian Zionists see creating Israel
Israel has already been created, Wally.
as a step towards the Second Coming,
It was, and is mentioned in the Bible.
and creation of the Third Temple.
Yet to take place.
They like to say that half the Jews shall be converted, and the other half will be killed.
So far that seems like a reasonable estimate.
They also want to force all the Jews to move to Israel.
Who is 'they'? I don't know anyone that wants all Jews to move to Israel.
Can you see how that might be against my best interests?
You have no interests, other than whining.

Thank you. I appreciate the insightful information.

Christian Zionists believe several criteria must be fulfilled before the return of Jesus, based on their interpretation of biblical prophecy, particularly from the books of Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation. These criteria often include:
Interesting.

  1. Reestablishment of Israel: The reestablishment of the Jewish state in 1948 is seen as a key fulfillment of prophecy (e.g., Ezekiel 36-37). They view the modern state of Israel as the restoration of biblical Israel, a prerequisite for end-times events.
Box checked.

  1. Jewish Return to Israel: The ingathering of Jews from the diaspora to Israel (aliyah) is considered a sign of the end times, fulfilling prophecies like Isaiah 11:11-12.
Box checked.

Aaaah, a sticking point.

  1. Rise of the Antichrist: A charismatic world leader (the Antichrist) is expected to emerge, making a covenant with Israel but later betraying it (Daniel 9:27, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4).
This sounds very Nostradamusian. Anyone can claim that this box is checked for any of an unlimited set of justifications.

  1. The Great Tribulation: A seven-year period of global chaos, war, and persecution, often tied to the Antichrist’s rule and events like the "abomination of desolation" in the temple (Matthew 24:21, Revelation 7:14).
This sounds very Nostradamusian. Anyone can claim that this box is checked for any of an unlimited set of justifications.

  1. Battle of Armageddon: A final global conflict centered in Israel, where nations gather against Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2, Revelation 16:16), leading to Jesus’ return to defeat evil forces.
This aligns with Iran's view that Israel must be destroyed in order for the 12th Imam to return with Jesus to unite the Muslims and to defeat the evil forces, and for the Ayatollah to coincidentally announce to the world that he is, in fact, the 12th Imam returning to defeat the evil forces.

Israel will be forever attacked until Israel invades Iran to deliver retribution.

  1. Conversion of the Jews: Some believe a significant number of Jews will recognize Jesus as the Messiah before or during His return (Romans 11:25-26).
The Iranian version holds that a significant number of Jews will see the error of their ways and convert to Islam, following the 12th Imam.

  1. Global Evangelization: The gospel must be preached to all nations (Matthew 24:14) before the end comes.
The Iranian version holds that the Q'ran must be preached to all nations before the end comes.

These beliefs vary among Christian Zionist groups, with some emphasizing certain events more than others. I learned all this stuff from the Dispensationalist Pentecostal Church that I grew up attending... One of the biguns...
Thank you again. Very insightful.

The Arabs didn't ' agree ' to having over half of their country given over to European pseudo-Jews because- as is obvious to everybody, even you, that it was ridiculously unfair. It didn't matter that they disagreed, however. The Resolution passed anyway and the borders were set.
Of course, as the borders of the ' Jewish homeland ' were set so were the borders of the Arab partition. Zionists don't like that fact one little bit.

Haw, haw..............................................haw.

Anyway- 148 countries now recognize the Palestinian state- with more to come this year.
There will, eventually, be a lot of disappointed US/Israeli pseudo-Jews heading home to the US of AIPAC.

Thank you. I appreciate the insightful information.

Interesting.

Aaaah, a sticking point.
Not really. A simple statement and prophecy.
This sounds very Nostradamusian. Anyone can claim that this box is checked for any of an unlimited set of justifications.
Nostradamus did not write any part of the Bible.
No, this is still to come.

Nope. Still to come.

Israel will not be destroyed, though many will try.
Israel will be forever attacked until Israel invades Iran to deliver retribution.
They too may happen.

Islam does not use the Bible.
The Iranian version holds that the Q'ran must be preached to all nations before the end comes.
That is already beginning to happen, and is also probably a good prediction. That does not preclude the gospel of Jesus Christ being taught to all nations though.

Palestine is not a nation. It's a region.

Not really. A simple statement and prophecy.
.. but an interesting one.

Nostradamus did not write any part of the Bible.
Correct.

No, this is still to come.
You missed the point. The hyperambiguity allows anyone to claim fulfillment per practically any circumstances ... or claim that it is still to come.

Nope. Still to come.
Now we know your interpretation.

Israel will not be destroyed, though many will try.
... or only one will try. Iran.

They too may happen.
It may occur, but Israel appears far too cowardly. Israel is a country of bullies. If you give them weapons, they won't use those weapons to defend themselves against Iran; Israel will use those weapons to bully and oppress defenseless Arabs.

Perhaps the US will assail Iran, but Israel is forever focused on guarding slavery as the Democrats once did in the US.

Islam does not use the Bible.
Correct.

That is already beginning to happen, and is also probably a good prediction. That does not preclude the gospel of Jesus Christ being taught to all nations though.
Correct.
