In my effort to understand UltraMAGA, I am interested in why are your type
Consider the movie “woke”. I did see the old one, and have no understanding why the ethnicity of the person who plays the mermaid matters at all?
Someone here called the new Disney remake of the little mermaid woke.
I asked what’s woke about it and did not get an answer so I am asking again
What is woke about Disney’s remake of the little mermaid?
Did "whites" invent the word woke?
Well, everyone knows REAL mermaids are not black.![]()
Whites appropriated it. Appropriating things from others is something whites are skilled at, as in appropriating an entire continent.
I did not mention the ethnicity of the mermaid at all when I explained to you what changes were not appreciated...
Well, Marty, if you feel that Native American lands were appropriated wrongly, I’m sure that you would be more than willing to return your home and property to them.

Short answer from the MAGAt mob (because that's all they can understand): "She's black".
It’s a way of complaining about race that hides their racism. That’s my opinion.
It's fascinating that switching to a black actor to play the part of a fictional character equals "messing it up" to you. Racist much? Why yes, you are. Bet you blew a gasket when the Pocahontas in the remake was much darker than the nearly-white original.![]()

If it isn't white 1950's America, where black roles are more along the lines of what we saw in "Gone w/ the Wind"....it's "woke."
