I think there is a step missing if a government can no longer claim legitimacy to govern then it's a duty of the population to seek to remove it.

Just to claim any and all governments are legitimate as you are, is a simplistic position.

The rioters who fought with police should be charged with assault and or battery as appropriate. The office who shot Babbitt should be identified and an open inquiry into that shooting should take place.

As for the riot at the Capitol, I take that as seriously as any other riot. The rioters should be charged appropriately. That goes for the Capitol rioters, BLM rioters, looters, arsonists, and of course Antifa. In the case of Antifa, anyone associated with that group should be arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit arson, looting, and rioting.

So, let me ask you, should BLM and Antifa rioters be arrested and tried for their violence, not to mention crimes like looting?

We just want equal justice under the law for the insurrectionists who took over in Portland. They burned, looted and took over part of a city. The Jan. 6 rioters didn't do any of that.
