What's an optimal level of government spending?

I've been self-employed for 30 years. Not working on the clock.

Not entitled to social Security, and that's OK.

The self-employment tax rate is 15.3%. The rate consists of two parts: 12.4% for social security (old-age, survivors, and disability insurance) and 2.9% for Medicare (hospital insurance).

my wife is also self employed - and I do her taxes -so I am very familiar here

You are correct! I'm not too familiar with government programs, you?

The last government program I knew of was Pell grants, ok?>

Apparently you aren't familiar with tax laws either. You'd better hope the IRS doesn't catch up to you. But the answer is: Unemployment compensation. Because EVERY DIME gets spent. it adds to growth. Programs which provide assistance to low income people are by far the most effective at stimulating growth. Obviously you flunked econ.

Eat a bag of dicks.

How does that equate to being a criminal, you commie fucktard?

You've failed to pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for 30 years. That's a crime. Well, maybe in your case they'll look at you and just fine you because you were too fucking stupid to know that.

more likely - he did not realize the 1040 SE form was used for social security and he has been paying all along

Oh! It didn't happen like that.

Half the time I did have to pay taxes, but still not enough to collect Social Security.

ROTFLMFAO!!!! Of course it didn't happen like that. Because you were never self employed. You lie when the truth will do. I have no idea why you'd do that. The ONLY requirement for Social Security is that you have earned 20 work credits. You can earn up to 4 in a year. Last year, if you made $1,150 dollars you earned a credit. Your claim is that you haven't accumulated 20 work credits. That means you've been on welfare all your life, or you are cheating the government. I suspect the latter, but either way, that must REALLY suck for you. I don't buy anything you say. But you are obviously a fucking moron.

If anyone would know all about welfare that would be you Concart. You have been on it for your entire life.

Yeah no, and you're a fucking liar and probably pay for food with EBT.

Gross? I've generated over a million dollars, probably more like 2. I didn't take that home, I had people to pay and gas and supplies.

I've put food on American tables. Not even trying for Social Security. I'll formulate my own retirement plan.

Yes. Actually it's 40 credits. If you made 50K during ten years of work (including being self employed) you qualify. Unless of course you don't report your income as required by law. Why do all of you have to lie about what you do for a living? The world needs ditch diggers too, Sheriff.

It doesn't matter. If you are self employed, you either pay yourself, from a separate corporation or you file a profit/loss statement (schedule C) for your business. Either one requires you to file at least one tax return. And it also requires you to pay payroll tax, both your share and the employer share, which is currently 15.4%. But apparently you never did that. Probably because you've been working for someone else your entire 'career'. Your lack of knowledge about running a business is frightening. The logical conclusion is that you never did.

You sure seem to know a lot about EBTs. I wonder why?

That's nice, honey.

Oh whoops! I never did. Aww. I paid myself and a couple of people for decades.

Nobody made a fortune, but nobody starved, either.

What business is that of yours?

Have you ever run a business that's good for the community? Hmm?

False dichotomy fallacy. ;)

Either/or my ass, leftardo.

luckily the federal constitution supercedes state governments on the matter of actual rights.

You say that it is only rights explicitly stated in the Constitution, which is amazingly few rights. Your world would have states having the right to make almost every decision for us.
