If he had, his birth would have been registered as the US consulate there in Kenya.

Yes. we do know because she went to Hawaii and then to Washington or Oregon to enroll in college before Obama was three weeks old. The birther thing is just about ignorance. You can't bring an infant thru US Customs and Immigration without a US passport.

Birthers? How stupid or determined to you have to be to ignore all the evidence showing Obama was born in Hawaii? Trump used it to start his political rise. He knew bigots and haters would believe anything they heard that was bad about the only black president. It takes real stupidity to not learn though.

I don't know what they are trying to accomplish. I could almost understand the angle back when President Obama was just elected, perhaps a way to contend his qualifications to be president. But that ship has sailed.
What's the point now?
He's already served his two terms.

However, the list of Trumpian lies is over 6000. If you actually care about honesty, then your attention would be focused on Trump. But we all know it is Obama hatred driving you, not fact or evidence.

For the rightists, it's mostly an expression of racism and their need to pretend that Obama never was a legitimate president. Think of it as uppityness past the point of being tolerable. It's far worse than the equivalent of Rosa Parks' demonstration of uppityness to them. It's a demonstration of the fact that they had become powerless to hold back black Americans any longer. And a demonstration that they will not accept that truth.
And for the leftists, Obama represents everything that isn't Trump. He's the anti-Trump but in a colour blind way.

I don't think everybody on the right is racist. They certainly don't think so. A lot of it is just: looking the other way.
Averse racism has to explain part of it. That's where the individual truly does not believe he is being racist. It's a subconscious manifestation. They tell themselves it's OK to believe Obama is not an American, and that doesn't mean they are racist. It's the 'no guilt' way of justifying hatred of Obama.

Hello Poli. I don't think 'everybody' on the right is racist either. You've explained your idea of their 'no guilt' way of justifying hate of Obama but can you elaborate and explain their 'guilt' way. Or rather, the reason why you would think they would feel guilt for hating Obama.
In my opinion the US south is close to unanimously racist to some degree and the north to a lesser degree. My guess would be about half of Americans in the north but that could be a low estimate. From personal experience, I've never talked to an American for any length of time that didn't display some racism.
Trump's appeal to his followers would be impossible without a very high degree of racism.

Then there are the not so racist friends of racists, those who will look the other way when it is in their interest. There's a lot of looking the other way involved in Trump support.

It's one of those Obama legacy achievements that Trump wants to take away from him.

The decision wasn't made in a room. It took Obama over a year to greenlight that mission. You see it as a great achievement. I see it as Obama had to be dragged kicking and screaming into signing off on what was otherwise a no-brainer decision most Americans would have signed on the dotted line as soon as the paper was put in front of them.
The greatest thing Obama did for America was hardly sexy and even worthy of a television movie--it was sign the legislation that cracked down on credit practices like changing interest rates on past purchases after the fact. It was a filthy and underhanded practice and it shouldn't have taken this long to stop credit card companies waiting until after you had maxed out your credit to double your interest rates and throw you from the frying pan and into the economic fire.
