You can't have faith in America as you oppose American government in a basic sense.

You can have faith in America and admit that government has problems that need to be fixed. But the beauty of our system and our Constitution is that the system includes the ability and means to fix things that don't work.

But that's not the same as hating government. Wanting to correct the things that aren't working is part of nurturing our government, which it surely must be nurtured.

January 6th , 21 was not nurturing.

That was people who have lost faith in America, and they don't even think so. They carried American flags. That is so messed up. Their thinking is so messed up.

And the problem is that support for extreme right thinking of the far right has become the dominant thinking of the entire right, and has their support in elections. That is a real problem for America. Because too many people have simply lost faith in our country.

Something that's wrong with people: Trump's Republican party has mainstreamed extremism for the right.

It prevents elected Republicans from actually considering the merit of a proposal. Instead, all they consider is partisan value and the support of deplorable minded people.

Americans, we have to have faith in our government and our system of government.

Putting down government in general, fomenting and creating hatred for government is crossing a red line for America, hurting America.

Hatred.

When liberals and progressives display hatred for the right, they have lost the argument. It actually hurts the cause of goodness to display badness.

We need to find ways to communicate our views and concerns without making it personal or involving hatred.

Hatred never solved anything. It's immature. Find a way out of it.

If the worst happens new cities will have to be built. A big challenge will be how to handle shipping. Port cities will become unusable if sea level rises too much. But as new facilities are built, and the sea continues to rise, the duration of usefulness of a port location will diminish, thus requiring the new port cities to be considered temporary.

I'll be OK no matter what, but it's irresponsible to let it be harder for future Americans than it was for us. Fuck that, they deserve a shot at The American Dream, too.
