When I was a teenager in 1978 I was working as a busboy at a local hotel when Jim Dandy/ Black Oak Arkansas and Blue Oyster Cult stayed the night at our Hotel. Buck Darma was a madman back then.

Jim Dandy invited me and my coworker to go to the drive in theater in the bands road van with his rythem guitarest. We had a great night. Jim Dandy was one cool dude.

Last time I say them was in 2001 at a music festival.....it was kinda sad. There still a great band and their musics still good.....but middle age fat guys playing rock can be a little pathetic.

I also met Dolly Parton when I was working at that hotel and can not say enough good things about her.

She was obviously exhausted from being on the road and when she walked into the hotel you could tell she just wanted to check in and go to her room but she was swarmed by about 50 guest and you know what, she took the time to have a word and give an autograph to every one of them. A real lady and real people......and....as far as I could tell.....they were definatly real! LOL
