Further, there were Dems leading the charge as well, and then changed course when it was no longer popular. You did not throw all of them out of your party. You nearly gave one of them the nomination.

I'd also throw in that the Dems had no problem with war in the 90's when it was a Dem president. A lot of the opposition to the Iraq war from the Dems was because it was a Repub prez and nothing more, not all the opposition but a lot.

I think there is a decent (not high, but decent) chance we would be in Darfur right now with a president Gore or Kerry, based on past assent from Democrats over international "peacekeeping" (can't call it war!) missions.

Sorry, not accepting 50% of the blame. The majority of democrats on capitol hill voted against the war authorization. Lieberman and Hillary got rejected because they voted for it. I don't see republicans holding a damn person accountable.

That's ridiculous .. EVERYONE who voted for or supported the invasion of Iraq is to blame and I've never said anything different .. nor have I, nor do I care if those to blame have a D or an R beside their name, nor do I care what race or gender that idiot happens to be.

I wonder if the Democrats realize Pakistan isn't just another Iraq to invade, they are nuclear with a much bigger population and even more steeped in their religion.
Yet as you have pointed out both Obama and Biden have made rumblings about going in there. They are so desperate to get power back I think they'll overlook anything their own candidates say.

The administration + those who followed != everyone.

The warmongers and the "poor little schmucks" who were just going along are not everyone. By arguing that they are, you lump in the genuine opponents of the war with those who just went along. Again, you are the one creating the moral equivalence.

You have not been more consistent against war than I have. I gave up the first woman president over the war, and that was very difficult. You want people to call Obama a war monger because you've made up a story about him that you now insist everyone believe, even though he hasn't started any wars, nor voted to start any, but just because you demand it! You demand it! If we don't you'll take away our anti-war credentials!

I not only blame the Bush Adminstration for the invasion of Iraq, I blame them for 9/11 .. but they don't get sole blame. The democrats AND the American people share that blame.
