I'd also throw in that the Dems had no problem with war in the 90's when it was a Dem president. A lot of the opposition to the Iraq war from the Dems was because it was a Repub prez and nothing more, not all the opposition but a lot.BULLSHIT!
There are plenty who are not to blame. Those who opposed it from the start are not to blame.
While those who "went along" might not be deserving of the same blame as those who lead the charge, they are certainly culpable and I will be damned if I am going to trust them in leadership roles.
Further, there were Dems leading the charge as well, and then changed course when it was no longer popular. You did not throw all of them out of your party. You nearly gave one of them the nomination.
The Nazi citizens that went along with the herd are not equivalent to those that opposed them. You are trying to create the moral equivalence.
I think there is a decent (not high, but decent) chance we would be in Darfur right now with a president Gore or Kerry, based on past assent from Democrats over international "peacekeeping" (can't call it war!) missions.
