Essential workers are put at risk of getting sick, but most were young and less likely to be killed by COVID-19. OTOH, like the game of "Six Degrees of Separation", anyone exposed to COVID is more likely to pass it along to someone who it can harm or die from it. Notice Trump's inner circle right now.
Obviously the smart thing to do is have good leadership, have everyone voluntarily follow CDC/WHO recommendations and let the economy run as normal as possible. There's no way to avoid a negative financial impact from any natural disaster be it fires, earthquakes, hurricanes or pandemics. Good leadership and a citizenry which believes in civic duty would minimize the negative impact of such calamities.

The Republicans have fucked this up so badly, there is a very strong and very disturbing possibility the Democrats will pull off a Hat Trick. Is there any doubt there will be a Clintonian/Obamian anti-gun bill on Biden's desk by next Spring if he wins?

Why would I? Have I "expressed any concern" over Trump's COVID-spreading rallies? No, I have not. I've ridiculed them. It's stupid. I expect Democrats to put emotion over logic, but Republicans have always been The Logical Party up until Newt, then things started to turn to shit. Trump isn't the cause, he's the result. Me ridiculing Trump and his science-denying fans is me expressing concern for the loss of a true American conservative party.
So, you haven't expressed any "virus transmission" concerns about BLM/Antifa gatherings, as I suspected.
