So what do you do with the disabled who are unable to work?

My guess is that such people will just do as they always do; turn a blind eye. It's the same with the COVID-19 pandemic; it's well known that COVID-19 is harshest on the elderly yet Trump and his supporters turn a blind eye to this fact in order to focus upon the economy.

That said, the economy of the United States is, to a point, a national security issue and must be addressed by Federal and State authorities per the Constitution.

Common sense should prevail, but it's often replaced with political ideology.

Oh look at this old leftist habits die hard don't they? No counter point just make other people the bad guy. This is another reason leftism is evil. Let's try something. I bet your never actually answer, define "poor children".

The children of poor parents who cannot afford healthcare.

You know what? I've had a good discussion with a stone cold conservative. Basically he said that the care of those unfortunates should be left to charities and churches.

While it might seem sensible, is it enough?

What is "govt controlled healthcare"?
Ok it's clear once again that all youre good for is continuing to lick my balls.
So you have no idea? You're just repeating the right-wing talking points?
It's not the first time he regurgitated soundbites and slogans without being able to discuss them.

As it is, "Socialized Medicine" is a big topic. Both sides heavily politicizing it just makes it less likely we'll have a better solution anytime soon.

A key fact that mustn't be ignored is the Republicans know they can't "repeal" Obamacare. It'd be a total cluster fuck and they know it since they don't have a better plan to offer.

That's an opinion not a fucking definition. Try again loser.

I don't know if it will be enough but you're assuming we could tax people sufficiently to make it enough and you have no evidence for that.

Right you can't fix a cluster fuck with a cluster fuck. Glad we agree on something.

It's not enough. There is a national security issue in the health of citizens. This means preventive medicine (e.g. vaccinations and pulling teeth) and treatment for injuries, not liposuctions and braces.

The first job of a government is to protect its people. Trump does not think that way. He would sell the citizens kidneys for cash if he could get away with it.

Maybe, but it isn't protecting people to force them out of their jobs, force them into only doing certain activities, and telling them they have to stay in their homes like prisoners under house arrest.

Agreed. This has been a failure of leadership from day one and not just because Trump is a shitty leader. We, the People should never have ever allowed ourselves to be put into a position where using common sense, such as voluntarily wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and washing our hands, became a divisive political issue.

Masks? We don't need no stinkin' masks!

So why do you believe this is Trump's fault and not, say, yours for being a bumbling coward who doesn't have the balls to tell your local leaders to fuck off with the hoax?
