Right now, I'm in the process of selecting and buying a new compact backhoe / loader. The two best choices are:

The John Deere 2025R

And the Kubota B2601

They're both about $35,000 give or take in cost with a similar features package.

Which company more lines with your political values.....because as we all know everything has to be about that now.......

I'm looking at a Kubota and it's about $16K For the "smaller than a real backhoe" setup.

Who's ripping you off?

I'd add $6-$10K for a Deere.

Or are you getting every attachment possible?

Not particularly due to supply chain issues. There are no used ones on the market to speak of, and both dealers have only a couple in stock atm.

A kubota with a bucket and lawnmower or bushog should be about $14K-ish.

I'd wait, or maybe look at New Hollands or Allis-Chalmers. Scratch the latter.

Look for a used regular backhoe? :dunno:

A class action lawsuit filed in Chicago has accused John Deere of running an illegal repair monopoly. The lawsuit alleged that John Deere has used software locks and restricted access to repair documentation and tools, making it very difficult for farmers to fix their own agricultural equipment, a problem that Motherboard has documented for years and that lawmakers, the FTC, and even the Biden administration have acknowledged.

Problematic.
