What meaningful measures do you think would stop mass murder?
You apparently do not know how easy it is to build a gun and ammunition for it, or how easy it is to build a bomb (I build them myself, for entertainment purposes, and occasionally for certain types of pest control). My neighbor has a son that has become quite good at fashioning his own guns. They shoot very well. He's not shooting up his school, and most schools aren't being shot up, despite the number of guns held by citizens today.
Gun free zones do not work. Good guys with guns outnumber bad guys with guns by far. All gun free zone do is prevent a good guy with a gun from stopping a bad guy with a gun. They actually create a hazardous environment.

no, most of the people injured were not trampled, liar. and how can any security at an outdoor event within range of high rise hotels stop anyone with an assault weapons, or weapons, and hundreds of rounds that can be fired so quickly with such lethal damage, from shooting down a crowd of people like fish in a barrel from 300 yards away in a 10 minute attack?

Between 10:05 and 10:15 p.m. PDT, he fired more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition from his 32nd floor suites in the Mandalay Bay Hotel, which killed 60 people[a] and wounded 411, with the ensuing panic bringing the injury total to 867. About an hour later, Paddock was found dead in his room from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His motive remains officially undetermined.

Despite what this jerk did (and fortunately he killed himself, no one else had do it), you do have to respect the skill this man had from shooting so far away while bumping. He's a pretty good smuggler too, getting all those guns and ammunition into that hotel room. He certainly knew how to deal with the lousy security in Mandalay casino.

No, but it is already a crime. You cannot stop someone from committing a crime, nor punish people because they MIGHT commit a crime, nor punish people because they are law abiding citizens.
The right of self defense is inherent. You cannot stop guns or any other weapon. You are completely failing to recognize several things:
1) The Constitution of the United States.
2) The constitutions of the individual States.
3) The inherent right of self defense.
4) The over 300 million guns that are NOT being used to shoot up schools and rock concerts.
5) That 'gun free zones' do not work.
6) No mass shooting has ever taken more than ten minutes before it was resolved (either with the gunman killing himself, or someone shooting or arresting the gunman).
7) Good guys with guns far outnumber bad guys with guns.
8) Cherry picking is a fallacy.
9) The presence of black markets.
10) The failure of the 'drug war'.

Yes. I am aware that those type of fertilizers are regulated. Farmers who need to buy more than 25 pounds of the fertilizer have to register.

Most rounds missed and didn't hit anyone. None of the guns could hold hundreds of rounds. Any semiautomatic can be bump fired. You are still ignoring the other some 300 million guns in the United States that were NOT being used to shoot up a rock concert. You are also still ignoring that murder is already illegal. Frankly, a bomb would've done much more damage to people.
The crowd was not 'fish in a barrel'. They were escaping, once they understood what was happening. My own neighbor was one of them. He survived. He was there. Most were injured and even killed from trampling in the ensuing panic. Hospital records will verify this.
I know you don't like data, and run strictly on emotion and fear mongering. But anyone that wants to can go look this stuff up.

No, they don't. I can buy a pallet of fertilizer containing 100lb sacks of the stuff and not have to tell anyone (except the guy I'm ordering from).
Not all fertilizers will make a successful bomb either.
It is also easy to make a bomb. I even make my own for entertainment purposes and certain types of pest control. I tend to use potassium nitrate instead of ammonium nitrate, or use potassium perchlorate as my oxidizer. I even use just plain oxygen. They don't have the hydroscopic problems ammonium nitrate has. It is because ammonium nitrate is hydroscopic that makes it such a great fertilizer.
Theft is already a crime. I assume you are in favor of making this a crime.

Primarily used in fertilizer, when mixed with other substances the chemical becomes highly explosive, the new legislation will require anyone buying more than 25 pounds to register, be screened against a known terrorist list, and require any thefts to be reported within 24 hours.
This new legislation expands upon a chemical anti-terrorism bill already in effect, but it's the first law to target ammonium nitrate sales specifically.

Using math, we see 471 shot and 396 trampled. dumbass. liar. they were fish in a barrel, punk ass.
and, yeah, stupid fuck, it took an assault weapon, in fact, several, to shoot so many so quickly with such lethal effect, not a fucking conventional firearm. even without a bump stock, the asshole could have shot about a third as many and you act like that would be no big deal?
